moving kayn over to @kurayamide [may or may not change the url, who knows] — this is not a reboot in the sense that i am removing ships or plot, i just needed a fresh space for him. i think this will help with writing and personal comfort.
i’m considering rebooting and revamping kayn — i don’t intend leave behind any plotting necessarily… but i think i might just need a refreshed space for him. like this if you’re interested in keeping our plotting and or following his reboot.

sex positivity is a good thing.
being sexual or enjoying sex is perfectly fine.
sex is indeed a natural thing.
but shoving sexuality and or even sensuality in the faces of your dash? acting like people not feeling sex positive or not enjoying sex is some kind of attack on your sensibilities? making it out like someone’s disinterest in writing smut or refraining from sexual content on their blog makes them boring or other? is really kind of fucked up. you have no idea why those people lack in your perceived sex positivity or an enjoyment of sex. they could have been abused. they could have been assaulted. they could have body dysmorphia. they could have gender dysphoria. they could be trans. they could be any variety of ace. they could have health issues that contribute in some manner. they could be an amalgam of some or all of the above. there are likely reasons i missed and i mean no offense with that — i am sorry if i missed a reason that relates to you.
but people not liking to see sexual content on their dash or asking that you tag content appropriately is not an attack on sex positivity. it’s not an attack on anything.Â
it’s them protecting themselves.
i want us to start looking at the other side of sex positivity… or rather to create a side where: we make people feel okay for not being sex positive. we say it’s okay to be a virgin or to not enjoy sex. we make people feel okay for being sex repulsed. we create safe spaces for victims of abuse or assault where sex is not purported to be relative to their value. we normalize asexuality instead of erase it. we let people know that whether it’s gender dysphoria or body dysmorphia — it’s okay to be scared, to refrain, to not want to see it.

Kayn was a strong man. His basic biology had been finessed by acute training disciplines, and further enhanced by science. Like all Ordinals, he was a significantly amplified being.
He waited until Zago began to speak. Just the first syllable of the reply.
“You—”
Still kneeling, Kayn cast the lance. An underarm throw with his right arm. No wind-up, just a straight pitch, hurling the lance along the angle it was already pointing in. He didn’t even look up. He was still kneeling, and bowing.
Propelled by the strength of his arm, the lance struck the underside of the hovering red fightship just in front of the mask array pod. The broad blade-head punctured the ship’s skin, and the lance kept going, through the condensers and attitude management systems contained in the belly. Through them, through the floor of the cockpit, through the base of the pilot’s flightseat, and on through Corun Zago.
When it came to rest, it was impaling the hovering ship like a meat skewer, the end of the haft poking from the underside, the head transfixing Zago, and emerging through his back.
He was pinned, upright, against his high-backed seat. There was a look of surprise on his very dead face.

hi i’m here to talk about characters with aches
aches from old injuries. finicky battle wounds, stiff joints from being restrained in captivity - things that their body never erased, pain that reminds them every day of what they went through. maybe it’s obvious, like a limp, or maybe it’s something that is only clear with early morning stretches and groans. maybe the aches grow worse in rainy weather, or when they think about the injury that caused the soreness.
a character who has to live with aches, and the painful memories behind them.
