I think, as a trans woman, going around and saying that "all the art of trans Petra Parker doesn't actually look like a real trans woman" when most of the art of her is drawn by trans women is kinda fucked up.
So this is your reminder that trans bodies are just as varied as cis bodies and assuming that "trans looks like (certain thing)" is straight up rude.
I put this in the replies but I feel like it's IMPORTANT to put it here too...
The thing is there is a section of people complaining that her having BIG BOOBS AND THICK THIGHS is "not realistic and not how trans women look at all and is just FETISH CONTENT."
And uh… I look like that.
I just look like that naturally on HRT.
And it feels really fucking gross to be told my body is "fetish content" by other trans folks.
Especially when it's generally followed up by things like "trans women don't look like that and if they DO it's because they had THE SURGERIES(TM)"
I need you, especially other trans folks like me, to cut that demon out of your heart and realize that you're just perpetuating hateful and TERF-y rhetoric.
Trans bodies are EXTREMELY VARIED... just like cis bodies!
Saying things like "trans women can ONLY look like this and if they LOOK LIKE ANYTHING ELSE then they are just a SEX OBJECT" is absolutely fucking evil.
