Not to get like too into it but just dance cannot write a good female character for the life of them.

Obviously with the main lore characters like Sara and Brezziana who hardly have any significance or plot of their own besides supporting a male character but also the absolute fumble that is Night Swan’s story being over shadowed by not one, but two men.

It’s still unclear the significance of the roles but how weird is it that her story is now being overtaken by The Traveler and Cygnus? I think In Your Eyes was the final nail in the coffin for me because why would Cygnus give her this vision of being evil… like I feel like that’s such a kick in the teeth to the being of her character. Why is “the most powerful villain” supposedly, being manipulated (using this term lightly) by two men? I mean they rewrote her story to be like this and I don’t believe it’s to give her any redemption.

This came to me today since they gave us a complex narrative for Vanity and when they gave Julia a bit of background it’s just “she’s a fun girl who posts on social media” like there’s no complexity whatsoever. I don’t know if I’m off here.
