Rabastan grabbed his cheek and looked at her with fire in his eyes. “Have you lost your damn mind, Fowler?”

“You want me to just take that? Not a chance in hell. Talk shit get hit, Lestrange.”

Now, now, Cee. Do you remember what happened last time we blew off homework? I had two broken ribs and you were hungover until New Years.

“What, are you deaf as well as stupid?”

“I love it, but all the other work from my other classes is killing me.” 

“As much as I wish I could, I don’t trust you as far as I could throw you. Which, judging by your size, is pretty far.”

“You wanna say that again, Lestrange?”

This homework is toeing the line of cruel and unusual punishment.

“It’s been entirely too quiet around here. Did school end early and I just missed the memo?”

“Yeah, it ended early. Go home.”

“D’you think that Professor Sinistra will accept me falling asleep before 8pm every night out of exhaustion as an excuse for why my Astrology homework isn’t done?”

Lily felt her face flush red. “Sorry. I ah– again, thank you for the compliment again.”

“D'you think so? I think I look like a boy. Not– not that <em>you</em> look like a boy because you have short hair, I just– I just don’t think I suit it. Sorry. I didn’t– you look like a girl.”

“That’s, er… That’s really nice of you to say, thank you. Kind of a backhanded compliment, but I’ll take what I can get.”

“Please don’t say anything. I know it’s short.”

“Well then I will try my best not to do anything hex-worthy. Then I’ll be safe and you won’t have to do anything particularly rash. Green? I’ve never really tried that color in excess. Maybe it would be a good look. There are loads of things people like to make a fuss over that don’t really matter.”
