Desperate to keep his family safe, he tries it out. But when he’s connected to a voice begging him for help, things start to turn sideways.

𖤓 Destiny’s Wasteland 𖤓

Mikey, new as he is to inter-dimensional travel, accidentally warps himself and Leo to an apocalyptic wasteland when he opens his portal. Forced to survive amongst conditions much like the Kraang wanted to impose, the duo must try and cling to their health and sanity as they try to survive and get home.

(Also known as: my excuse to create feral Mikey content.)

When Mikey rescues Leo from the Prison Dimension, something malfunctions in his portal. The both of them are sent hurtling into the 2012-verse, where they must pick up the pieces of their injuries and begin finding their way home. Unfortunately for them, they encounter another set of turtles in the midst of their own adventure, and they’re caught in the crossfire. Now the duo have to juggle the existence of the multiverse, trying to get home, and fighting off yet another threat to the world as they know it.

(This likely won’t have substantial content for a long time considering I haven’t yet watched the 2012 show)

Leo had outmaneuvered Big Mama in the Battle Nexus, but he wasn’t fool enough to think she’d just shrug it off. Sure enough, when he camps out in the Hidden City to scope things out, he encounters one of her henchmen following him. After she bests Leo in a fight and pulls him out of sight, she offers her own deal with him; if he goes on missions for Big Mama with her, she’ll make sure the spider keeps her end of the deal without alterations.

Set after “Many Unhappy Returns.”

After the Kraang invasion, Leo is desperate to keep his family safe. His self-preservation has melted enough to reach desperate measures, and he determines that making a deal with Big Mama is the best way to go. She agrees, partially wanting information and to have Leo indebted to her, and partially out of genuine empathy. She will keep her many eyes out for any anomalies and important artifacts, and he will help her on a few underground missions in return. However, when he’s mistakenly ambushed and captured on one of the missions in place of one of Big Mama’s henchmen, things start getting a little messy.

A catenary is the curve of a hanging chain or cable between two posts.

After the invasion, Donnie becomes paranoid of a repeat event. In an effort to make sure his family stays safe, he hyperfocuses on his tech. However, a dire mishap may not let them become anything but safe anymore.

(Basically: Donnie’s tech takes over his body.)

When Mikey opens the portal to the Prison Dimension, the well of his soul’s power is opened. When Raph and Donnie place their hands on his shoulders, theirs are opened as well. Their souls mix in the shared pools of power, but Leo’s wasn’t able to join in. After April manages to find this difference, they realize that part of the reason Leo is still separated is because of his mentality following the invasion. Together, the Hamatos must work to convince Leo that he is worthy of their love and bring him into this new pool before he drifts too far away.

In the heights of the atmosphere, the gate to the Afterlife lays shimmering. Souls seeking this gate are often guided by family and friends who are already there. Four creatures who live between the two lives work together to guide the souls who slip through the cracks; lending a hand to those who would otherwise stay unguided.

ᨖ Wandering Hiraeth ᨖ

Even before the arrival of Casey, Leo had heard of time travel. Donnie had once dragged him aside to his lab for a four hour rant about the relationship of space and time, portals and travel, and his plan to win the lottery. But he had also heard of the many ways it could go wrong; getting lost and destroying timelines were among many backfires he’d had the misfortune of hearing about that day.

Naturally, after the Kraang, Leo knew his best course of action was to stop it from happening in the first place. However, resetting reality comes with consequences not even Donnie had predicted.

(Basically: a time loop AU that can’t be broken until Leo reenacts the exact way reality had happened the first time around.)
