This isn’t really going to be a network of sorts but more like a small group of new writer friends who want to become serious writers in the future. I am currently working on my poetry chapbook, so I had this idea. Why not get more people involved and start a group of awesome writers and collab on a chapbook where everyone can show their works!

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about how the net is going to work, here are answers to some of the most common ones:

What age groups are the years? when will I change years?

The age groups for the years are:

first year: 13-14

second year: 14-15

third year: 15-16

fourth year: 16-17

fifth year: 17-18

sixth year: 18-20

seventh year 20+

The reason I asked for your exact age was to make things easier for sorting. You’ll all start out the same age (except for a couple of you who’ve had birthdays since applying) and it’ll become an age range as more birthdays happen. Everyone (except the seventh years and some sixth years) will “graduate” to the next year next fall, just like in real school.

How will Quidditch work?

I’m still working out the fine details, but quidditch “tryouts” will be in November. The Quidditch teams will be participation heavy and will revolve around challenges for different creative formats. I’ll post was more details between now and then.

How will classes work when a lot of us are in different time zones?

“Classes” aren’t going to be like real classes that would only last a couple hours tops. They’ll be a full day affair for specific age groups to chat. They’ll run a full 24 hours, so hopefully everyone will be able to participate in the conversations if they want to!

What if I change my name or url, or want a new icon?

Just let me know! If you make a post about a name or url change definitely tag the net so everyone sees it, but if you could also send me a message directly that’d be great since it’s really easy to miss things in the tags.

What if I want to leave the network/go on hiatus?

If you ever feel like you won’t be able to participate in the network anymore, let me know and I can remove you from the group, no hard feelings. If you go on hiatus also let me know so that it won’t count against your house if you don’t complete participation-based challenges.

How should I tag my posts in the chat?

Please tag with your url, you can’t tell who posts what on mobile without tags. Also feel free to throw your name in the tags so we can all start trying to remember who everyone is! Don’t use just your name without your url, though, we have a lot of name-twins in the net and that could get confusing.

What should I post in the network tags?

Whatever you want! Selfies, questions, edits, writing, etc. I provided the main net tag and house net tags so that you can use both if you want, or if you want to share something with a smaller group of people you can just put it in your house tag.

When are we going to start posting things?

I’m excited to announce the new members of the four houses net! Welcome letters will be sent out soon, either via submit box or instant message, so be on the lookout for those! Members are listed under the cut, there aren’t the same number for each house because I’m trying to get them to ~35 members each. Also, just a reminder that the years your assigned aren’t the same as they are in the books, ours go from first years being 13 to seventh years being 20+.

Remus Lupin + Wolfstar headcanons

on days of the full moon, sirius and remus always stay in with the windows all slammed shut

they do different grossly domestic activities like reading/cuddling together or watching some sap film with buckets of hot chocolate

this one time they broke out a recipe book and tried their hand at the fudgeiest brownie recipe they could find

sirius at one point struggled with opening a bag of flour but he got distracted and pulled too hard and POOF he was covered in flour

and i mean covered

you know that surprised face ben wyatt does? sirius did that, with a cute little “o” mouth 

remus, who’s usually pretty reserved and quiet on these nights, BURSTS into laughter

he’s cackling and suddenly sirius is scowling at him and he grabs a huge handful of flour and chucks it at remus

remus’ laughs turn to screeches 

cue adorable flour food fight

they dont end up making brownies that night

James loved Lily’s laugh.

It wasn’t dainty or giggly like some girls’ but one that fills the whole room. It wasn’t a laugh that you’d expect from a girl like Lily Evans. It was throaty and loud and…and joyful. Just hearing it made him smile. Sometimes, when she was really amused, she’d snort unapologetically, her shoulders shaking, and little gasps escaped her mouth. While her voice was as smooth as honey, her laugh was an earthquake, earth-shattering and rumbling. 

It was a laugh that seemed to make James’ bones tremble. It took command, much like the person behind it. 

They were in the Great Hall when he first heard it. He looked down the line of newly made Gryffindor’s and saw the girl from the train laughing at something Marlene McKinnon was whispering. She hadn’t laughed like that on the train; it transformed her whole face. She looked…she looked free when she laughed like that. 

Before he looked away, back to Sirius the story he was charming the table with, he thought he might’ve liked her better if she always laughed like that.

Hermione was sick and tired of feeling like the third wheel with Harry and Ron. She was tired of feeling like they did everything together and she was left on the side to just be the brains of every operation. What she wanted was to be really seen by them both, but especially Ron. She wished Ron would quit being so clueless around her and finally be able to see how she felt about him without her having to say it out loud.

Don’t forget me. Where ever you’re going.

emotion: anticipation 

There’s a hum in the air.

Audible, and sizzling on the edge of his tongue. Like everyone in defense against the dark arts has suddenly taken their wands out at once. It’s a hot sort of electricity that hums right through his hair and sits at the base of his spine.

That’s the sort of air he’s dealing with today, which is unfair. With something so important about to happen. It’s one thing to waiting and another to be dealing with this.

Yes, he’s a little too far gone to realize it’s all in his head.

Or rather, that it’s not a real thing but a feeling, since James is pretty sure he can feel it too.

And Peter, if he’d stop fixing his tie in the mirror.

And Remus, who’s dutifully ignoring it.

It’s called tension, guys. Look it up.

(Remus is the only one who ever looks anything up, and he’s sitting there, reading, he’s reading for merlin’s sake why doesn’t someone stop him?)

Belatedly, as these things tend to happen, Sirius realizes he’s said this out loud. 

Very out loud.

The following why doesn’t anyone stop me is, at the very least, said on the inside of his head. There are some things he’s grateful for and that’s among them.

Remus flips a page. Sirius stares at him. Peter’s taken to nervous pacing, and James is holding a piece of parchment in his hands and pointing his wand at it.

It’ll take Sirius approximately three days to realize Remus had been looking up extra spells, not reading Oliver Twist.

“Oh come on!” Sirius finally just snaps out, and the tension seems to sizzle out of the room. “Just try it already, you’re driving me crazy!”

James raises his wand; the tension flies back into the room like they’re in a vacuum bag.
