“I haven’t either,” Kara admitted. “Never really considered it cause, uh, I’m not exactly LGBT, but this year I figured I’d come in support of my friends.” She smiled at Foster, glancing back over the bar. “What are you drinking? You want another?” 

Foster smiled,”Well that’s great. So how is your first pride experience?” she asked, looking down at her drink. She considered t for a moment, “Ihave no idea, it’s a rainbow something. I would love another.”

“I bet,” Kara laughed, grinning. “Really? Guess we’re both Pansaw Pride virgins then, huh? This is my first time here too. Have you been to Pride anywhere else?” 

Foster chuckled, “I guess we are, huh?” she giggled. She shook her head, “I haven’t been to pride before, have you?”

“I’ve never been too interested in large parties like this,” she admitted with a shrug, having always prefered smaller more intimate gatherings. “Plus I never really saw the draw in Pride. I may be bisexual but that’s such a small part of who I am I didn’t feel the need to draw attention to it and forge my identity around it with groups like this.” After she spoke she realized how harsh that might have sounded and tried to backtrack. “Not that Pride is a bad thing and people shouldn’t take part in it. It’s just not for me is all.”

“Well, that’s a common thing, people not liking large parties,” she said, as she figured it was true, a lot of people don’t like huge parties like the Pansaw Pride. “It’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion.”

“Well you just happened to catch me on a good day sweetness,” Mari all but purred. Really, she hadn’t liked those shoes to begin with but they matched the outfit. Now she had an excuse to throw them out and buy new. Not that she really needed the excuse. “So I get my dance, do you have a name to go with it?”

“I guess that’s very fortunate of me then,” Foster grinned, though she still felt bad for spilling her drink on the other woman. “That you do. My name is Foster, what’s yours?”
