Spent so long trying to think of the perfect caption to this but it doesnt exist. All I gotta say is that rainbows are the physical manifestation of hope. To me, and to many people out there. Just like the rain on the darkest days, this too shall pass. I feel so privileged to have taken this picture at this point in time. Lights in The Sky Acrylic metallic on canvas Something I’ve learned as an artist is that you’re never really finished. I put off finishing this painting a couple weeks back because it felt incomplete and I wanted to do so much more. But I had already exhausted out all my power dedicated to this specific vision. And it’s even harder to travel back into that world and finish it satisfactorily in the way you wanted to from the beginning. So as artists, we have to be able to recognize when our work is done, because of ability or capability. In this painting I tried to capture a glimpse of the rainbows of color I see in lights and looking out the window as you’re going down the highway at night. Top left: Jupiter and some of its moons Bottom center: Saturn and its brightest moon i believe. I have been debating on what photograph to close my 30 day challenge with these past couple days and i think this is the best. Really shows off my Nikon camera zoom quite nicely.
