We welcome Fawn Hawk to the city. She’s 22 years old and is an animal physical therapist. Fawn is often mistaken for Bruna Marquezine. She’s taken.
Just as you’d expect, Fawn was the kind of kid who would bring birds with broken things and snails with broken shells into her house. Her parents were regularly having to explain why you can’t just bring wild animals into the house. Every fibre in her told her to take care of them. Eventually her family had to accept that this was just what she was going to do. That didn’t mean that they didn’t try and stop her from bringing the weirder creatures in.
Animal therapy is a very niche field and jobs aren’t very common. Fawn’s heart was set on working as one though. She couldn’t bare to work as a vet, and have to deal with dying animals regularly. This was her next best bet in terms of a career she’d be happy with. So she began looking for jobs anywhere. Quite early on she realized that she probably wouldn’t be able to get a job in her home city. Thankfully she came across a new job, in a new centre, in an entirely new city.
Fawn saved up as much as she could in advance of moving. Neither her savings or future salary would be able to cover an entire place for herself though. So, Fawn was allocated a roommate – Iridessa. Thankfully the girls got along pretty well. It still takes a lot of self restraint to not bring injured animals home as Fawn doesn’t quite know how Dessa would respond to that. For now she keeps her animal love to her bedroom. Fawn has a variety of animal biology pictures. She tends to keep small animals like goldfish and lizards. There’s also a lot of pictures of her family.
Fawn has always found it pretty hard following the rules. While she’s far from being rebellious and breaking a law, she likes to switch things up. This is evident her consistent bringing animals home against her parents wishes as a child. She has this incredibly love and lust for life, which inspires those surrounding her. There is nothing that pains Fawn more than the pain of others - Humans and animals alike. She’ll do anything in her power to change it. This sometimes includes pushing boundaries.
Caring, empathetic, energetic
Mischievous, uninhibited, rowdy
Iridessa Lyte (Roommate & best friend): Before moving in with her new roommate, Fawn already had it set in her head that she wanted to immediately invite them for a night of bonding. The only way they’d get rid of any awkwardness would just be smashing through. Thankfully that’s exactly what they did and it worked. The girls spent the first night in the apartment bonding over wine and it really helped to cement a happy and healthy friendship between the pair.
Rosetta Linden & Sol Eun-ha (Friends): Dessa had headed to the toilets in a bar, leaving Fawn stood on her own. This is when she spotted sweet Han looking rather lost. Of course she approached and immediately befriended her. That’s when Iridessa came back from the toilet’s and she’s befriended Rosetta. From that point on, the girls became inseparable. They immediately set up a group chat and it’s never slowed down since.
Vidia Anluan (Acquaintance): When Fawn first met Han’s roommate, Vidia, she could tell that the woman wasn’t used to having people be interested in her. Fawn strives to help people so made an effort to talk to Vidia and make her feel wanted and welcomed. She doesn’t exactly know how well it’s going. Despite her efforts, Vidia is still cold sometimes. But, Fawn hopes that eventually Vidia will feel comfortable enough to spend time with the entire friendship group and join them on outings.
Terence Curie (Acquaintance): Fawn and Terence just met while out and about in Libertas. He seemed pretty sweet though and at the time was pretty stressed, so Fawn recommended him so animal care.
Bryoni Tinker (Acquaintance): There isn’t a lot of money that goes in to animal therapy so Fawn tries to remain using old equipment as much as possible. She always goes to a restorer to have it fixed as most handymen give it up on old stuff and suggest she but new things. Obviously this happens quite often so Fawn and Bryoni had quite the bond forming now.
Barry Benson (Colleague): An important part of being an animal therapist is making sure that the animals she uses are happy. To do so, and make sure the public also knows she is doing so, Fawn works with animal rights activist Barry Benson.
