Hello, this isn't a request or anything, I just wanted to share a delusional thought with you since I saw you like Joker, Kid, and Kaishin.
So, a long time ago I saw a blog here on Tumblr about Kaito and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, which made me like Kid x Joker.
MY OTP is KaiShin, but I found it interesting.
So I'm here to leave you a WIP that I will possibly NEVER continue or even develop decently. I hope you enjoy it, and if not, that's OK.

[ Introduction, Conan ratting out Kaito]
He could have a ton of cops surrounding him, but that was the least of his concerns. There was only one person who had his full attention even in that situation.
That was what came out of his lips.
"It looks like you weren't so smart this time, Kaito Kid!" The enthusiasm in the inspector's voice was noticeable.
But Kaito couldn't care less.
He only focused on the boy in front of him.
The person who betrayed him.
Yeah, that's what they were supposed to be, right?
The cat chasing the mouse.
The detective and the thief.
But he never thought things would end that way.
Conan wasn't looking at him.
"I told you I'd catch you." He only hears the cold voice of the one who was once his favorite critic, his ally, his almost-friend and secret love.
[ THIS IS ANOTHER SCENE ]
The newspaper article says: "The Great Magician dies while trying to escape!"
Chikage looked at her son with concern and handed him a slice of chocolate cake.
"I know it's not the best, but at least we managed to escape, right?"
Kaito looks at the cake without appetite.
"Yeah, I know, don't worry. It'll pass in a few days."
It hurts that he didn't trust her.
"I won't bother you anymore for now, but it'd be good if you at least ate something. The cake is from the café across the street, it tastes really good."
Kaito nods and decides to take a bite so his mother feels more at ease.
[ Enter Shujin Academy, Joker's point of view ]
The person transferring to his school is interesting. He's very bright, but he seems to hide many things. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't interested.
"You're staring at the new guy a lot. Is our Ren-Ren in love or something?" Ryuji can't help but joke about it, since Ren hasn't taken his eyes off him since he arrived.
"I doubt that's it. It's more that the new guy has an aura of mystery surrounding him."
Sakamoto took a moment to remember the new guy's introduction.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Kuroba Kaito. I hope we get along."
He didn't think much of what he said; his tone was quite indifferent.
"I don't see the problem with him. Maybe you're overthinking it."
[ LE BLANC CAFE, INTERACTION BETWEEN KID AND JOKER ]
"Yeah, actually, I also live upstairs, so you'll see me tending the shop every day unless it's my day off."
"Is the owner your relative?"
"Something like that. Not by blood, but he's my guardian."
"I like the name, Le Blanc... Can I assume you're a fan of Maurice?"
"Without a doubt. In fact, we all are."
"My sister, my friends, my guardian, and of course, me."
"Well, it's not common for a whole family and friends to be fans of Maurice Leblanc."
"I guess it's because we're sympathizers of thieves. Not all of them, of course. Some aren't so noble."
"I agree with you on that."
"Speaking of thieves, I heard you're from Ekoda. I assume you know Kaito Kid."
He couldn't help but feel uncomfortable at the mention after what happened over there. However, he decided not to show it and continued the conversation.
"Yeah, but I didn't expect him to be known in Shinjuku."
"He has some relevance around here. Maybe he's not as popular as he is in Ekoda or Beika, but I can assure you there are people who love him here."
It didn't seem to Kaito that his new classmate hated his alter ego. That was new.
"Do you include yourself?"
"Of course, I'm a fan. Although I hope that doesn't bother you."
"I assume you're also sad about the rumors, then?"
Kid was caught but managed to escape. However, many assume he died because of what happened in the last heist he was seen at.
"I like to think he's okay, you know? Maybe it's silly because I've never met him and I haven't even been able to attend one of his heists, but I sincerely hope he's alright."
"Do you think he's a good person?"
"Yes. Not all thieves do it for bad reasons, and Kid's actions speak volumes about him."
"It's good to hear things like that."
"You didn't hear it often?"
"In my previous school, there was an Anti-KID group. Even my closest friend had, or well, has a terrible hatred for him. Plus, we had a high school detective in class who said he'd bring him to justice every time."
"Even though he's from Ekoda, it doesn't sound like he has many fans over there. I can see why you were surprised I thought differently."
"Speaking of thieves, have you heard about the Phantom Thieves of Hearts?"
"Yeah, I have to say I find them interesting and they have all my support too. Guys who literally expose crimes. My respect."
"You know? You should start hanging out with me and the rest of my friends. I think you'd fit in well with our group."
"Sure, I'm still new around here. Treat me well."
[ more interaction between Joker and Kaito ]
"You didn't bring an umbrella, Ren-chan?"
"Oh, thanks for covering me from the rain, Kaito."
"It's nothing, don't worry."
They walked calmly to Le Blanc until they arrived.
"Do you want to come in for something hot before you go home?"
"No, remember I live just a few houses away, so you don't have to worry."
"Are you going to Kaito Kid's heist this weekend?"
"Oh, I was planning to go, but I'm not sure. Mom wanted me to help her with some things."
"Oh, I wanted to invite you, but if you're busy..."
"Let me ask and I'll send you a message, okay?"
He made an important decision, Ren-Ren.
(づ￣ ³￣)づ So Kaito has company for this Saturday night.

He almost found it funny.
Kaito searched in the drawers of his nightstand and pulled out another phone. This one no longer had a number and he didn't even use it now, but it had screenshots of conversations with his old friends in Ekoda.
You're surprisingly childish.
At least I'm not 7 years old and look like an old man angry at life.
The difference between both chats was noticeable.
Kid smiled nostalgically at the conversations.
Then he selected the folder and clicked delete all.
He didn't need them anymore.
Just like he didn't need the Detective of the East either.
He's still furious about what happened.
Conan had asked him for a favor.
"Take me to this place, please, it's urgent."
He didn't even question it.
He just took it as a small favor for the Detective.
He didn't expect him to take him to an abandoned building.
He thought that girl, Mouri Ran, was in trouble, but he was wrong.
When he landed on the ground, he found himself surrounded by police and with no way to escape.
Yes, he knew he wouldn't always have the detective on his side, but... he never believed he'd sell him out like that.
He remembers that Conan didn't even look at him.
He's not sure if it's because he thought the thief was no longer worth his time or if there was something else behind that action.
But Kaito had decided he didn't care anymore.
Because whatever relationship they had back then hadn't meant enough to the Detective.
[ Context of what happened with Conan ]
"Do you want to keep her safe? Then do what I ask. Besides, the kid will be better off with the police than stealing."
"What do you have against Kaito Kid?"
"Him? Nothing. It's just settling a debt."
Vermouth didn't explain to Conan that she wanted to keep Kaito out of that whole world of evil organizations, because the previous Kaito Kid was her teacher and she felt indebted enough to at least want the son not to meet the same fate as the father.
Her plan was to have the police take him into custody, then infiltrate and put him in witness protection. That's why she was here.
Cool Guy could manage to catch him, she was sure.
"So who are you going to choose, her or him?"
Shinichi didn't want to choose.
Ran was more defenseless.
She was his childhood friend and he'd known her his whole life.
Well, he was a world-famous thief.
Or at least he wants to believe that.
But his thoughts torment him.
And well, at least Vermouth seemed satisfied enough with the outcome to return Ran safe and sound.
Only for him to find out that she wasn't even in any real danger.
He doesn't understand what Vermouth is planning.
Nor why her interest in Kaito appeared and died so quickly.
Is it because he died...?
He doesn't like to think about it.
He wants to believe he's alive somewhere, but a little over three months have passed and there's no news about him.
At least until he receives a message from Hattori that snaps him out of his thoughts.
KAITO KID HAS REAPPEARED!
LOOK, IT'S THE HEIST NOTE:
"When the moon devours the sun, I will cross the skies to paint them black, and in the place where you abandoned me, I will break our bond.
And to those who steal hearts, I apologize for stealing the stage from you.
I will show you something brilliant to make up for it."
[ Shinichi taking an antidote and going to find Kid ]
"I don't want to know. I don't care what you have to say. I won't believe you again."
[ Scene between Joker and Kaito ]
"You look a bit sad. I thought you'd have fun."
"It's not your fault, Ren."
"Remember when I left? I ran into an old friend."
"From the way you tell it, it sounds like you two aren't exactly friends anymore."
"You're right. He was part of the reason I decided to move to Shinjuku."
"I don't know what he did, nor do I know if I can offer you any comfort, but I'm here if you need anything, okay? I won't pressure you to talk if you don't want to."
Maybe not for now, but Kaito could consider letting Ren slip into his heart in the future.
[ More scenes of Joker and Kaito ]
"I will steal your heart." Joker left a kiss on his hand.
Kaito was used to being the one who did that, so he looked a bit surprised by the change.
"I hope we see each other again, on a quiet night like this."
He continues twirling the black rose that Joker gave him by its stem, observing it with genuine curiosity as he thinks.
"We had a date once, although neither of us knew it was a date."
"I liked your smile from the moment I saw it."
"I learned this trick because you like it."
"What's wrong?" She asked, setting aside what she was reading at that moment to pay attention to her son, who was sitting on the other side of the room.
"I think I fell in love with a criminal."
"Excuse me?"

I don't know, I just wanted to write about Shinichi and Joker fighting over Kaito.
It's not that good because it's just a draft.

Britney's criminal is an old guilty pleasure of mine so this entire draft makes me giddy from beginning to end. But this really solidifies my belief that KID is so lonely.... so seeing him interact with the phantom thieves of hearts (or became a member....perhaps possibly maybe) makes me so emotional.
