i really do like the theo storyline but the way people act as if it's above any form of criticism is so?? i think, with this show, people sometimes forget that it's okay to analyse scenes and certain storylines and that not everyone has to like the same things as you, and with this—what's going to be an incredibly complex—storyline, people are going to have mixed feelings about it.

we don’t talk enough about how season eight truly changed the game in regards to the buddie canon of it all, bc before then i thought buddie was just a cute ship where i could aww at their cute moments, but like… that’s it?? i could have my fun with them, but there was no real expectations on whether they would ever be made canon. season eight, though? i fully belived that they were canonising buddie after the eddie moving to texas plot. and season nine has only made me believe more and more that they are building towards something.

i really hope that the rumours about the thunderbolts* sequal are false, bc wydm they are priortising this over a captain america movie? sorry, but it's actually insane that in the seven years since anthony mackie/sam wilson has taken on the mantle as cap, he has only had two projects come out (and one of those was a tv show). in less than that chris evans/steve rogers not only had his own trilogy but was also one of the leads in two avengers movies. the difference is clear as day.

i've seen a couple people say that kara should've just let ruthye kill krem and no. i feel like that just goes against one of the main focal points for this move? bc, yeah, if krem was killed earlier a whole lot less tragedy and devisation would've occured, but kara was never against killing him; she didn't have any moral dillemas, an 'am i doing the right thing?' moment, she only stopped ruthye from killing him bc she didn't want his blood on her hands. he had already destroyed her entire family, what good would it have done for ruthye if she had killed him? 'kay, maybe some momentary satisfaction, but she would have been left with a shite tonne of trauma (on top of what was already there). kara knew that he needed to die, and that's why she did it. not ruthye. don't ignore the poignancy of the conversation between ruthye and kara, ruthye choosing to walk away (the conclusion of her entire arc), in service of a 'well, she shouldn't have stopped her in the first place', bc you're just missing the entire point.

i have come to the conclusion that if you don't like supergirl, but loved superman and literally every other superhero movie ever, you might just be a misogynistic prick </3

the way i view each half of buddie, is that eddie is my child. it doesn't matter that i am half his age, i feel deeply paternal over him and he can do no wrong. i would kill for him, and i want to slap both the show runner and the writers over the head for how they treat him. buck, i look at him fondly but he also slightly annoys me and then i feel bad for that annoyance. i also just want to fuck him. it's as simple as that. i look at him and brain buffers
