A Broken Promise

I love you, and because I love you, I would sooner have you hate me for telling you the truth than adore me for telling you lies.

Sometimes we get sad about things and we don’t like to tell other people that we are sad about them. We like to keep it a secret. Or sometimes, we are sad but we really don’t know why we are sad, so we say we aren’t sad but we really are.

Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.

“I don’t know who I am. Or maybe I do know who I am and I just don’t want to be her anymore.”

And I can’t be running back and forth forever between grief and high delight.

Sometimes the worst thing that happens to you, the thing you think you can’t survive…it’s the thing that makes you better than you used to be.

I really hate being self-conscious – and being conscious of being self-conscious.

Every 7 years, the cells in your entire body will be destroyed and replaced with new cells. One day I will have a body you will have never touched.

People have the right to think and say whatever they want to. But you have the right not to take it to heart, and not to react.
