Tagged by @joyfuladorable! As an apology for taking a while with updates, I'll give you lines/tiny snippets from everything that I've been chipping away at whenever I get a chance (in no particular order):
Dragon of the Sun (a TMNT 2003 fic):
“Spare me,” the President snapped. “I saw that creature on my screen while an alien warlord threatened my country. And now you expect me to believe it’s good?”
Title Pending (a Rise of the TMNT fic):
"What am I doing here?!" she asked, somehow still managing to make a hissed question sound like a shouted one. "What are you doing here?! This is Brownie Clan business!"
Raph felt himself blink. "The...dessert club?"
Donatello (A TMNT 2003 fic):
“Donnie’s the only one in the room with a brain half the time.
And I ain’t talkin’ about the nerd stuff — I mean actual sense.”
Goodbye to a World (A Cass Apocalypse Rottmnt AU fic):
But that was the thing, wasn't it? The whole reason he was even here, sleeping on a couch that was softer than anything he'd ever slept on before, in a world safer than anything he had ever known (the past day nonwithstanding) was because Master Leonardo was not. He and Master Michelangelo had sacrificed themselves to give him and their past selves a chance of a better life.
Stuck in a Moment (a Dreamworks Trolls fic):
He couldn't help a laugh of his own. "I'm stuck in a diamond bottle. 'Okay' is a pretty generous word."
Turning Back Time (a Linked Universe fic):
Could they be working together now? Sweet Hylia, he hoped not. Just remembering the sorts of things they'd accomplished together between battles was enough to send a chill down his spine. He was ninety percent positive that half the reason Impa disliked him so much was because of these two.
Recollections (a Linked Universe fic):
Time felt his stomach drop at the sight of young Hyrule. It was true. While there was a leanness to him that most children didn't have that spoke of constant movement, Hyrule was small, and he could still see the baby fat that clung to his cheeks…
Much like he'd seen in his own reflection once upon a time.
Spiral (a Naruto fic, OC centric):
It was such a childish promise. The kind of promise only a kid her age could make. Sachiko had no idea why she was forced to stay within a certain area- she had no idea of anything -so it shouldn't be taken seriously. And yet…
Her eyes stung as a smile unwittingly slipped onto her face. "...I'd like that."
She wanted to believe it.
Ascent (a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood fic, OC centric):
This time arguably felt more chaotic than the first, despite the rush of injured being about the same. Soldiers were still half-carrying, half-dragging their comrades inside. Some limping, some screaming, some still frighteningly silent. Dust and blood smeared across uniforms. The air thick with the metallic tang of blood.
Journey (a Pokemon fic, OC centric):
Unsurprisingly, Gou was one of the ones who didn't take that deep breath. He was already scanning the underbrush like a predator waiting for movement. Koharu hovered close to the group, eyes darting between the trees and expression a mix between worry and excitement.
Ash, of course, was practically vibrating.
Horizons (a FFVII fic, OC centric):
"That's because it hasn't happened before," he frowned. "From the moment Chaos takes control to the moment I regain it, there has always been a blank. However, this time I was…while not completely cognizant to what was going on, still strangely aware."
"Do you think it had something to do with the Whispers?"
Vincent didn’t answer immediately. His gaze drifted toward the horizon, where the last traces of sunlight still clung to the sky.
“…Perhaps,” he said at last. “It's hard to say.”
I...think that's about it? Could be missing some. I have been chasing a few plot bunnies around as well. Nothing concrete, and possibly not anything that'll be posted, but...well, I'm sure you all know how it is.
As for when these updates (or fic, in the case of one of them) will be posted? It's hard to say. I'm doing my best to get these out, but I don't have as much time as I'd like (and it always goes better when the mood strikes, which doesn't always happen). Thank you all for being so patient with me.
And thank you, Sea, for tagging me. This was pretty fun! I don't know if I have anyone to tag? But if you follow my fics and write some yourself, I'd love to see snippets of them!
