I thought I’d post a warning on here since the aesthetic of my blog is nature/forests.❗️I got bit by a venomous spider (brown recluse) which led to tissue damage and an infection that I am currently being treated for. This has been one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. 😨 I’m hoping I won’t have more complications from this because it can get really serious. Always wear closed toed shoes, pants, and insect repellent when exploring nature or going on hikes, and check your house for poisonous spiders because they can also live in boxes, attics, closets, etc. I didn’t think this would happen to me because these spiders are super rare where I live 😭

FYI, The spider probably accidentally got stuck in my shoe, and then bit me & injected the venom because it was scared.I have no memory of seeing a spider or being bit. But brown recluse spiders usually only bite if they feel threatened. So wear closed toed shoes when in forests or the woods and try to avoid them at all costs 😣🕷️
