Flying the x-wing was something Rey wasn’t entirely used to, she was a good pilot but not as good as Poe or any of the other fighters in the resistance. She was trying to outrun the TIE fighters hot on her tail, she wasn’t going to lead them back to their base she had to outrun them. Yet something rather strange happened in that instance, something had sucked her in, it happened so quickly Rey didn’t even have much chance to register what had happened. When she came out of the other side, her engines were down, and quite quickly she was heading toward another planet, a planet that she hadn’t seen before.
“Is anyone out there?” Rey asked through the communicator, now getting closer and closer she could feel the gravitational pull quite quickly, “My engines are down, I can’t land” Quite quickly she was picking up speed trying her best to hold onto the wheel trying to get her engines to work, this was going to be a hard landing, that was if she didn’t burn first. “Is anyone out there?” Rey asked again.
an anomaly had been detected outside the avenger’s watch tower. alarms blared throughout the compound, almost deafening (if he could lose hearing). everyone had gone off campus for the day, which just lead vision in charge of the anomaly.
he phased through to the roof where he could keep his eye on whatever it was that was speeding through the atmosphere. as he began to attempt communication with what he now recognized as a space ship, he heard a voice communicate a distress call.
❛ hello yes, this is vision with the avengers. i’m afraid i must ask you to land this ship repeat: you must land your ship. ❜
“I can’t land!” rey commented, trying to get the engines back on the best she could to at least slow the ship down. “My engines are down” She knew putting her hands on the steering was pointless, she had to use her mechanical mind rather than her piloting one. Rey reached to the back of the console, fiddling with the wiring, trying to jump something to at least let her land safely. It was then did the engines jump start again, firing on. Rey quickly placed her hands back on the wheel, lifting up the best she could, pressing buttons to slow her speed.
“Come on..” She was closer and closer to the ground, she could see the building and the man who had appeared on the roof. She slowed her speed enough that she wouldn’t burn or plummet to her death, she landed with a thud skidding across the grass, the engines going off as soon as the ship hit the grass. Rey let out a sigh of relief, unbuckling herself lifting the hatch off and jumping out of the now smoking X-Wing. Well, there was no way she going to get back off the ground anytime soon given the shape her small ship was in. “Knew I should have taken Han’s ship..” Rey commented to herself.
