Anyone else listen to the new white suns yet? This album proves that they are truly the masters of restraint. Such a special band. 

Working in supercollider can be so slow...6 hours into my current project and I only have a minute and a half's worth of music. 

(I'm working on a couple supercollider projects by the way and will have them posted by next week.)

Coding can be the most frustrating thing in the world. I've spent the last two hours trying to fix an error that only occurs on my system (I got the code from my professor who ran the code flawlessly) and actually had to change the source code that one of the CLASS PROVIDED extensions. It's a shame that supercollider runs so differently on different operating systems. It's an amazing program no doubt, but it needs work to run more uniformly across all platforms. 

Let's take some time to appreciate how great these next two months are going to be in terms of art releases. Dark Souls II, Shovel Knight, Conception II, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, Game of Thrones season 4, new White suns album, new thee samedi 7", and the Special Explosion's release show for their new EP?! It's seriously overwhelming. Elch will also finally be releasing our tape, which I can't really comment on in regard to its artistic quality, but it will be a huge relief to finally just have it out there. 

Lastly, I've had this crazy idea to do a mass sync-watching of evangelion later this year. The way it would work is a group of 8+ people would watch one episode of eva at a specific time each week over skype/mumble/whatever voice program works best/is easiest. It would culminate in watching the final episodes (25 and 26) during the final week, and then everyone who was a part of it could get together to watch End of Evangelion/maybe the rebuilds? together. Having a large number of people involved would mean that even if a few people were too busy to watch at the designated sync-watch time, there would still be enough to do it and have that group experience. And, with only one episode per week, if you missed the group-watch then you could simply catch up sometime during the week before the next group-watch.  This idea is a little out there, and it might not even work, but if it did I think it could be really cool? And there's a lot of people who have showcased an interest in watching eva but aren't motivated enough to watch it on their own so this could serve as a possible solution. I also don't plan on doing this anytime soon, maybe not till late Spring quarter or the Summer, but I thought I would put this out there to see if there was any interest. Would anyone be interested in something like this?

I've also been wanting to get into a new show, and I'm torn between either starting Code Geass, or Steins; Gate. Anyone have any input on this? Or does anybody want to just decide for me? 

Also, I finished up the third season of Game of Thrones a while back. It was by far the best season and had easily the best two episodes of the whole show. The show isn't perfect, and the direction seems to be a bit...confused at times, but it is super captivating and fun to watch which is more than I can ask for. I can't wait for season 4!

*Side note: that first etude is going to sounds really bad if the speakers you are using don't have good bass response!
