Marvel Women Headcanons
and what they do when you cry during sex
Kate Bishop
Kate would panic for approximately 0.7 seconds.
The moment she realizes you're crying, everything stops. “Hey—hey, what's wrong?”
She's immediately cupping your face, searching your expression for an answer. Kate's usually pretty energetic and playful, but she becomes incredibly gentle when she thinks she's hurt you.
She'd ask before touching you again, probably three times. “Do you want me to stop?” A pause. “Or should I…you want me to just hold you?”
And if you nod, she's pulling you against her chest without hesitation. She’d feel brief relief once confirming that the tears were simply from overwhelm, and not because she’s hurt you in some way. But that relief would of course take a back seat to making sure you’re wholly okay.
“I’ve got you, baby. I’ve got you,” Kate would whisper over and over whilst holding you tightly, not even thinking about restarting anything until you were ready. And if you wanted to call it quits for the night entirely? That would be perfectly okay with her too.
Yelena Belova
Yelena notices immediately.
She'd stop and study your face for half a second before her entire demeanor softens. “Hey. Look at me.”
No teasing. No assumptions. Just that incredibly steady gaze. She'd wipe your tears away with her thumb and ask quietly:
“Are you hurt?”
If you tell her no, she doesn't automatically assume everything is fine. She’d push just a little. “Then why are crying?”
And when you explain that you're simply overwhelmed, emotional, or that everything suddenly feels like too much, Yelena would understand. She'd pull you against her and kiss your forehead. “Okay,” she’d say. “You are safe.”
Honestly, she'd probably become ridiculously cuddly afterward. You'd wake up later with Yelena practically wrapped around you like a human blanket.
Natasha Romanoff
Natasha would be the calmest.
The instant she noticed the tears, she'd stop. No startled reaction or frantic questioning.
Just a quiet: “Hey.”
Her hand would come up to your cheek. “Talk to me.”
Natasha is particularly good at reading subtle body language, so she'd probably already have a pretty good idea whether you're frightened, hurt, overwhelmed, or simply emotional. And if you tell her you're okay? She'd still make you take a moment.“Okay. Then just breathe.”
She'd guide you through slowing your breathing, keeping eye contact the entire time. Only when she's certain you're comfortable would she ask whether you want to continue—or simply lie there together.
And if you choose the latter? Natasha would be perfectly content with that. She'd tuck you against her chest, stroke your hair, and quietly say: “You don't have to be embarrassed.”
Because she knows exactly how vulnerable it feels to cry in front of someone.
Valkyrie
Valkyrie initially looks completely bewildered.
“Wait. Are you crying?”
She'd immediately stop, though. The teasing disappears as soon as she realizes you're genuinely overwhelmed. “Hey, hey, what is it? C’mere.”
She'd pull you against her and let you hide your face against her shoulder if that's what you want. And because she's Valkyrie, she'd probably try to make you laugh once she's certain you're okay. “You know, for the record, I was not aware I was that good.”
You'd probably smack her shoulder.
“What? Too soon?” A little grin.
Then she'd kiss your forehead and settle back beside you. “Take your time, sweetheart.”
Valkyrie would be especially good at making the whole thing feel normal rather than embarrassing. No awkwardness, no shame, no treating your tears like they're a problem she needs to solve. Just her knowing and acknowledging that you’re emotional. And telling you that everything is okay, and that she’s here for you.
sick day
premise: Kara wakes up sick with a cold she acquired from spending too much time on red sun planets. Though she vehemently denies even having the ability to get sick, you’re more than happy to nurse her back to good health like the attentive girlfriend you are
content: kara zor-el x fem!reader; mention of drinking; sickfic; fluff; grumpy!sick!kara; caretaker!reader; 1.5k words
more to say: i went to the coffee shop today hoping to have a productive editing session. stayed there for over two hours, and only edited one thing because i couldn’t lock in😶 you win some, you lose some, i guess 😅 anyway, there’s definitely going to be a shortage of fics between now and October, i’m sure you all have gathered that, but this was just a cutie little idea that i had. kara is so fun to write for <3
Waking up before Kara has become the norm.
You’ve always been an early riser, and since you’ve been dating Kara, you’ve known her to be the one who wants to catch a few more zzz’s. You don’t mind. Usually when you climb out of bed first, you would hear that sleepy groan from behind you, Kara’s hand darting out to touch your back. A whisper of “stay” or “where you goin’, cutie?” mumbled against your neck before you can get far enough away. It pulls you back in every time
This morning however, all you receive when you move is a sleepy grunt from beside you and a murmur of, “So fuckin’ cold,” and Kara wrapping herself up in the blanket like a burrito before you’re even fully out of the bed.
You chuckle down at the Kara-shaped lump in the blanket. “Well good morning to you too, grouchy,”
Kara’s answering harrumph earns her a fond eye roll. You search the room for a shirt to throw on—one of Kara’s graphic tees being the first thing you find—/‘d then you’re out of the bedroom with the intention of making your grumpy girlfriend some breakfast.
Your assumption was that she’d oversleep today. She’d just gotten back home last night from another red sun bender. Sometimes, you’d accompany her on these trips, but this time, you didn’t go. You’d had too much work to do, so you’d kissed her goodbye and just told her to enjoy herself. And you knew she had judging by the tipsy state she’d come back in.
Even despite Kara not being a morning person, the smell of breakfast food is usually enough to rouse her from her slumber. She’d come padding out of the bedroom with sleepy eyes and mussed hair. A cheeky smirk just for you once she sets eyes on you. One that would have you running to kiss her, morning breath be damned. But even as you finish cooking, (just some scrambled eggs and toast because Kara loved the simple stuff) there’s still no sign of the blonde, and the bedroom door remains shut.
You smile to yourself as you arrange Kara’s breakfast plate on a tray along with a glass of orange juice. “Okay, princess treatment it is this morning,”
You carry the tray down the hall and nudge the bedroom door open with your shoulder. You smile once again at the Kara-shaped lump underneath the covers that’s yet to move.
“Karaaaaa,” you singsong as you flick on the ceiling light. Another moan from beneath the covers.
“Come on, babe. I made you breakfast,” you say, trying to coax your girlfriend out with the promise of fried eggs.
“Not hungry, just cold,” says the lump.
“Well, I’m sure this breakfast will warm you right up. It’s scrambled eggs and toast. And orange juice. All your earthly faves. Now why don’t you come out of there?”
Kara groans a sound that might’ve been ‘no’, but you couldn’t tell. You reach over and gently tug the blanket down enough to see Kara’s face. She protests, but seems too weak to fight back. And when you finally get a look at her face, you realize there may be a different reason why she wasn’t in a hurry to get out of bed. Her nose is cherry-red, her eyes puffy. As if on cue, she sniffles.
“Kara,” Your eyebrows knit together. “Are you—“
“No,” Kara huffs before you can even finish. “I’m not sick.”
“I was just going to ask if you were okay,” you finish. “But yeah, that too. You don’t look so hot,”
Kara shakes her head rapidly. “No. I don’t get sick. That’s like…my whole thing. I’m not from earth. How can I get an earth cold?” Her rant is followed by an indignant, wet sniff.
“Because you probably didn’t get it from earth, Kara,” you say, bringing the back of your hand up to feel Kara’s forehead. “You probably got it off-planet. And judging by the way your forehead feels, you’re definitely burning up.”
“Okay, I’m starting to feel really insulted here. Am I not always this hot?” Kara asks, trying for a beguiling smile. At least, it probably would have read as beguiling if her nose weren’t red as a tomato and her under eyes weren’t puffier than you’ve ever seen them.
You quirk your lips to the side. “Yes, Kara, ordinarily, you’re a smoke show, but you know that’s not what I’m talking about,” You riffle through the top drawer of the bed table for a thermometer. You’re surprised when Kara opens her mouth for the thermometer without making much of a fuss.
“Well, bad news,” you say, checking the reading. “Your temp is 100.5 right now,”
“That’s good right? Triple digits?” Kara blinks up at you.
“No, that’s a fever,” you tut, shoving the thermometer back into the drawer.
Kara waves her hand dismissively. “Fever shmever. Babe, I’m telling you, I’ll kick this…whatever this is in like an hour,” Kara stands from the bed before you can protest.
“Babe—“ you start.
You don’t have time to say much else, but you don’t have to. Kara sways almost as soon as her feet hit the ground. She teeters, rights herself, then teeters again. You lunge, grabbing her just as she starts to fall, and pull her back into bed.
“Dizzy, aren’t you?” You ask
Kara sighs, holding up her thumb and index finger to indicate ‘a little’.
“Yeah, that’ll be the fever,” You tuck Kara beneath the covers, trying not to look into those baby blue eyes. She was giving you the most crestfallen look right now, and you couldn’t take it.
“But we were gonna go to that thing with the planets today, right?” She asks.
“The planetarium? Yes, babe, I was excited to take you there. But you have a fever, you’re dizzy, you’re shivering. You can’t go anywhere like this, I’m sorry,”
Kara huffs and flops back against the pillows with all the grace of a disgruntled toddler, even going as far as to throw her arm over her face.
“We’ll go another time,” you promise, gingerly pulling Kara’s arm away so you can peck her on the forehead. “But for now, you need to get some rest. I’ll leave the orange juice, but I doubt you have an appetite right now, do you?”
Kara shakes her head weakly and you pick up the breakfast tray, depositing the orange juice onto a celestial-patterned coaster. “I’ll be right back,” you promise, squeezing Kara’s hand in yours before leaving the bedroom to put the food away.
When you return a few minutes later, Kara’s eyes are closed, her breathing soft like she’d just dozed off. You smile at her before quietly crossing the room to the bed table again. You pull a silver bell from the middle drawer. And though you try to set it down on the table top as gingerly as possible, it still lets out a quiet, musical jingle, making you wince.
Kara’s eyes flutter open. “Wha? Huh?” She blunders.
“Sorry, baby. I tried to be quiet,” you coo as you straighten up. “Here,” you pass her the bell and she takes it delicately, propping herself up against the headboard with effort.
She studies it like it’s an object she’s never seen before, gives it an experimental shake, filling the room with a musical chime. “A bell?” she asks.
“Yeah. If you need me at any time throughout the day and I’m not in here with you, you can just ring that bell,” you explain.
“And you’ll come running?” Kara asks.
“I’m at your service,” you say with a theatrical bow.
Kara looks between you and the bell, lifting one thick brow deviously. Then, she gives the bell another shake.
“Yes, Kara, what do you need?” You ask with a soft laugh.
“Hugs and kisses,” Kara says. “Stat. I don’t know if I’ll make it otherwise,”
You roll your eyes, but oblige, climbing back into bed with Kara and pulling her against you.
“Mm, that’s more like it,” Kara says as she snuggles into you, her arms going around your middle and her warm breath fanning over your neck. “And my kisses?”
You turn and kiss Kara on the forehead. She doesn’t answer the way you’d expect, clicking her tongue in annoyance. “A real kiss!” She complains, lifting her head and puckering her lips.
“I’m sorry, babe, I’m not kissing you on the mouth while you’re sick!” You laugh, playfully dodging her as she tries to plant one on you. “You don’t wanna get me sick too, do you?”
Kara pulls back to look at you exasperated. “So I can’t even have kisses anymore?”
“You can have all the kisses you want once you’re feeling better,” you say, giving Kara one more squeeze before climbing back out of the bed. “For now, just try to get some rest.”
Kara grumbles but complies, setting the silver bell on the bed table and pulling the blanket back up to her nose. You’ve barely made it a step over the threshold when you hear the familiar trill of the bell again. You turn back to find the sleepy smile you’d been coveting for earlier.
“Just making sure you can hear it,” Kara quips.
Your lips curve, your heart feeling like it could burst at any moment. “I promise I can,” you say. “Get some rest, okay?”

Summary: You share a drunk kiss with your friend Kara, but it turns out you were both sober.
Masterlist
Kara is supposed to be your friend. A friend that you may or may not have kissed. You both passed it off as a drunken incident. Neither of you brought it up or talked about it.
However the kiss has been marinating in your mind since it happened a few days ago. The more you think about it, the more things you start to realize.
SCARLETT JOHANSSON as NATASHA ROMANOFF in
BLACK WIDOW 2021, dir. Cate Shortland
THE AVENGERS 2012 | dir. Joss Whedon
“I know you’re wearing a wire”
pairing: natasha romanoff x female reader
warnings: smut
___
You should’ve known better than to think you could fool a Black Widow.
The warehouse was supposed to be empty—quiet, routine, a perfect opportunity to slip in, plant the bug, and get out. But the moment you stepped through the door, the air shifted. Heavy. Electric. Predatory.
A hand landed on your hip before you even heard her move.
Natasha pressed up behind you, her breath ghosting over the shell of your ear as her fingers traced a slow, mocking path down your side.
“I know you’re wearing a wire,” she whispered.
You froze. Hard.
Your mouth opened, but nothing came out—not with her voice melting down your spine like that. Not with her body pinning yours, her thigh sliding casually between your legs like she had every right.
“You thought I wouldn’t notice?” she continued, lips dragging against the sensitive curve behind your ear. “Baby… you really underestimate me.”
Her hand slid under your jacket, dangerous and intimate. She found the mic instantly, plucking the tiny device free with a soft click.
“Well,” she murmured, stepping around you, turning you by the chin so you were face-to-face with her amused, devastating smirk, “now we don’t have an audience.”
She tossed the wire aside. Somewhere on the floor, it skittered to silence.
Natasha’s gaze dropped to your lips. Slow. Deliberate.
“You should run,” she said, even as she pushed you back against the nearest crate, her hands already slipping under your shirt. “But I don’t think you will.”
Her thumb brushed over your lower lip, and she watched—hungry—as you shivered.
“You came here to spy on me.” Her thigh pressed up between your legs again, higher this time, forcing a gasp from your throat. “Now you’re going to tell me exactly why.”
Your breath shook. “Natasha—”
“No.” Her hand closed around your jaw, firm but not cruel. “You don’t get to say my name like that unless you’re ready to beg for me.”
Her leg shifted just enough to drag a delicious, slow friction right where you needed it.
Heat shot through you. Your hands found her shoulders without thinking.
She noticed.
“Oh,” Natasha purred, leaning in so her lips just barely brushed yours, “you’re trembling.”
Her free hand slid down, undoing the button of your pants with a practiced flick, danger and desire tangled in every movement.
“Tell me…” Her fingers slipped inside your waistband, knuckles grazing sensitive skin. “Were you going to let them listen while I made you come?”
Your knees nearly buckled.
Natasha caught you by the hips, laughing under her breath—a low, dark sound that curled straight between your legs.
“Answer me.”
“I—I wasn’t—”
“That’s what I thought.” She kissed you then. Hard. Claiming. Punishing.
And while your head spun and your back arched, Natasha’s fingers eased lower, tracing the heat between your thighs through your panties—barely there, maddening.
“You’re lucky I like the idea,” she murmured against your lips. “Otherwise I’d be very, very angry.”
Her touch pressed firmer. Your breath broke.
“Good girl,” she whispered, drinking in every sound you made. “Now let me show you what it feels like to be caught.”
Her fingers slid beneath the fabric at last—hot, sure, devastatingly slow.
“After all…” Natasha kissed your neck, your jaw, the corner of your mouth, “if you wanted my attention—”
Her thumb circled you with wicked precision.
“…all you had to do was ask.”
