My favorite old fashioned fudge recipe 🥰
This recipe is from Hershey’s company, and it’s the best recipe I have found so far.
Ingredients:
3 c. Sugar
2/3 c. Cocoa powder
1/8 tsp. Salt
1 + ½ c. Whole milk
¼ c. Unsalted butter, cubed
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Line a square pan with foil and then rub a thin layer of butter on the foil so the fudge does not stick.
2. Combine sugar, cocoa powder, and salt into a medium saucepan. Add milk and stir to combine.
3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture boils. Once the mixture is boiling, stop stirring.
4. Using a candy thermometer, let the mixture heat up to 230 degrees F, or until it gets to the “soft ball” stage.
5. Remove from heat and add cubed butter and vanilla. Let mixture cool slightly as to not burn yourself.
6. Using a wooden spoon, mix the fudge until it thickens.
7. Pour into pan and let harden completely. Cut into squares and serve!
