I’ve been thinking that the only way their relationship timeline really lines up properly is if they’ve both had secret crushes on each other for a while (either since last year when they worked on midnights, or January since they hung out at his show) and then like… finally in March one of them confessed. And that’s why the relationship was able to move so quickly and they seem SO excited and in love like they’ve been into each other for ages. Because they hAVe. They just had the courage to say it recently
And I feel like her playing “I Think He Knows” last night kinda solidifies that theory for me, bc that’s the kind of situation that song is about.
Ohhhh yeah for sure!! I do think Matty liked her from…probably day one. Like in 2016 he said that he had feelings for her but wouldn’t date her cuz she’s the most famous woman on the planet and it would be like dating Barrack Obama or whatever. I think maybe every time they’ve crossed paths since it’s been like “oooh there’s something here.” Until they were maybe finally both single and reconnected? 🥹🥹🥹 sweet babies.
