Now, I can confidently say that Poly Atamai has put a new twist to your stereotypical luau. Included in the night's show was a spoken word performance by the lovely Tonga Victoria, a moment of encouragement shared by Ursula Siataga and of course, the hilarious company of Joe and Q of the BBQ Show. These moments added to the fire of Saturday night's spark of entertainment. 

And of course, this night was centered around the PA motto honoring our past by investing in our future. Founder Feterika Su'a-Tuamasaga reveled in the excitement and success of this night in the company of the crowd, supporters of this amazing and important movement!!

To end the night, Uncle Samu, the other half of the foundation of this organization, closed the program in a beautiful prayer of gratuity and blessing.

1. THE BBQ SHOW (@ONAIRWITHQ &@JOESAV100)

Wit and humor is all women need in this life (head nod, ladies). Fortunately, these two traits come naturally to these two incredible hosts of the BBQ SHOW! The PIT Festival would not have been as glamorous as it was had it not been for the honorable MC's Joe Sav and Q. The hilarity and clever yet true statements added so much flavor to the already hyper-energized crowd.

I mean, they were so good that the PIT Festival wasn't the only major event they hosted THAT DAY (hardworking too?). A source revealed that later that night, after a long day in San Fran, these two made their way to the "O" to host another major event. 

..  my only question left is, single or nah? 

2. Family FUN for everyone! 

.. can we all agree that this photo is of two brothers enjoying the temporary pleasure of trapping their kid-sister in a ball and pushing her around? It just makes it that much funnier .. 

The PIT Festival was crowded with families of different sizes! The football stands were occupied with a crowd that ranged from adults to children who were enjoying every moment of free entertainment accompanied by the gentle winds of the famous San Francisco fog.

3. UCE JUICE (@UCEJUICELLC)

Yes, all visual branding of the Uce Juice bottle is done by the creator himself, Mike Togafau. One sip of this liquid formula containing real-life taro (yes, talo) will have you hooked. Not only is it appealing to the eyes and mouth, but also to a healthy lifestyle. Unlike coffee and other energy drinks, Uce Juice is jam packed with the nutrients you need to get you on the grind. 

Big ups to the PIT crew for getting a product line like Uce Juice to feature at your festival, definitely bonus points from the health and wellness freaks! 

... did I mention my favorite color is Uce Juice Purple? Yes, that color has been added to my collection of other made-up color names *sigh*

4. PILOT (Pacific Islander Leaders of Tomorrow) Program 

As chaotic as this day was, there happened to be a slew of world-changing bandits facilitating workshops in the lunch cafeteria. The PILOT program is yet another grassroots organization based in Los Angeles that focuses on today's generation; our youth. 

Though there was little coverage of this phenomenal event, Delight.MC has eyes everywhere. 

I bet half of ya'll had no idea that the month of May is actually Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month (yes, I had no idea either). Don't worry I explain more in my next post. 

Anyways, the PILOT Program has began a national campaign "#IAMBEYOND" that allows people of our community to tell their stories and "elevate their voices".

5. and of course .. PACIFIC ISLANDER CULTURE!

The PIT Festival did a great job at publicly proclaiming Pacific Islander pride and culture on Saturday. There were plenty of vendors present who accommodated the taste buds of eager Islander peoples and a group of performances whom honored each respective Pacific Islander culture! The free entertainment for the family was an amazing idea that played out very well for everyone that attended.

So, all in all, I guess I would have to report back that the FIRST ANNUAL PACIFIC ISLANDS TOGETHER FESTIVAL was a huge success!!!!!
