yknow when thereβs a thunderstorm and youβre inside and listening to the rain hammering your window and youβre all toasty warm watching the lightning flashes?
and after the storm, when you go out and the whole world smells so clean and fresh and pretty?
when you take a shower and you come out and your skin feels so soft and your hair feels so smooth itβs like you might be a mermaid
those super fudgy chocolate brownies you know the kind im talking about
think of all the dogs you havenβt petted! all the kittens you havenβt cuddled! what about them?
thereβs so many new styles and aesthetics you havenβt even considered yet
all these awesome clothes that you havenβt worn enough and are just hanging in your closet waiting for their chance
whoβs gonna keep the little succulent on your side table alive?
that fic youβve been working on but havenβt updated in two months? itβs someoneβs favourite and they love you for writing it
when you go to the countryside and the air smells so fresh and warm and clean
or when you go to the city and itβs so big and you feel so small and everyone is just going about their own lives and itβs just beautiful
that fuzzy feeling in your heart when you do something nice for others, like drop some change in a homeless personsβ cup, or pay for the person behind you in the drive thru, or give a little kid leftover arcade tickets and watch them light up
your favourite character would be devastated to think you could hate yourself and your life that much
the smell when you walk past a cinnabon, bonus points when you actually get to buy one and enjoy it after a really yummy dinner
there are so many bookstores you havenβt visited yet!!
the people who you game with online or talk to online will be devastated to hear it, especially because they wonβt even get the closure of a funeral

iβm going through a pretty rough patch right now, and i started thinking in the shower how much simpler things would be if i really did just end it all. and then i remembered my favourite sitcom, and the brownies my mom wanted to make with me tomorrow, and the bag of chips next to my bed, and the new friend i just made, and i feel a little better now. these are fairly self-indulgent, idk how much theyβll help anyone else, but theyβre helping me
