Slowly progressing with the first area, made some new assets and setting up a map to test various things, especially the Mandragora's overworld behaviour.

The game is being developed in RPG Maker VX Ace.

Another building for the first village, the Pin Shop owned by this lovely couple, Mrs. Barracuda the mermaid and Gacha the kappa.

Reworked sprites and idle animation for these guys.

Finally implementing enemy behavior on the overworld! Note that in the actual game, getting hit by the projectile will immediately start the battle. Here I'm showing how the enemy chases the player after missing.

Hey sorry for not posting anything in months. Work and financial problems got in the way and development slowed down considerably, but the game is still being worked on! I hope to start posting more frequently soon.

Yes, there are definitely going to be more fearsome critters and creatures from American folklore in the game.

Two more enemies: Cat Sith and Dryad! And with these, excluding bosses, I think I've shown all enemies that will be in the planned demo.

Thank you so much friend and don’t worry about me, I never feel stressed when working on the game. I haven’t posted in a while because I’m still working on commissions at the same time, trying to scrape some money together to pay a composer. I’ll try to be more consistent with my posts!

I'm late as usual but I really wanted to post this before the end of the year. So here's the guard system I was working on! Normal guard reduces damage taken, but a precisely timed parry negates all damage and let you counter-attack.
