        the invitation was simply a selfie with him and the five other members of the founding board with the phrase “ come see us “ written in gold ink. they weren’t that high-class to go through the trouble of printing out lots of paper, decorated all fancy, just for people to discard them. “ — don’t be discouraged just because we have a bit of reckless fun. we do enjoy a bit of wholesome fun every now and then. maybe you could come and sing for us ?? we would pay you well. “

   the words fell into illegible SHAMBLES , curling off of the surface of the water like fog , and the siren vanished beneath them again ; faythe effectively left confused , but knowing she hadn’t been left as imperceptibly STRONGER waves lapped at the bare skin of her calves .

    so , they couldn’t exchange names . that was no reason why they still couldn’t be friends .

    and the siren proved her theory— underwater objects gleaming in her hand ,PRESENTED , a gift , and faythe couldn’t help the smile that brightened the entirety of her features . she opened the satchel on her hip , but the objects occupying her hands inside , and gratefully took the shells , coral pieces , and pearl .

          ► ---- ;; ---- The little witch before her was cute. She had yet to say a word. It was odd as Sarabi knew the witches to be a very talkative folk, casting their verbal spells and enchants. But she did it wordlessly. Sarabi enjoyed the silence. Sometimes the surface world became TOO MUCH. Too much noises, scents, objects, beings overwhelmed the siren to a jittery mess. Yet, in the silence of the ocean, next to this silent witch, Sarabi felt PEACEFUL.

          The siren curiously peaked into the satchel. More sea items drifted in the knapsack from what Sarabi could see. Expectantly, she looked back the the little witch. 

“H-Hey–!” The airhead wasn’t even thinking at first when the other had moved. She stepped back some when her hair was grabbing, hissing a little bit. It didn’t really hurt, but the pain at her roots was enough to get a noise from the poor little angel. “You shouldn’t tug hair like that!” The violets, pinks and white streaks seemed to mesh in the strangers fingers, her own hands reaching to try to uncurl his fingers from her head.

Well, she had her hair like that for a reason, just to hide her little, undeveloped wings. She was a hybrid, an angel and a human, her father was even surprised she got wings, but the pheromones were there–.. humans didn’t stay away. So she was sure this was the cause. The nephilim huffs, eyes watering. “..Please let go–..”

              ► ---- ;; ---- Sarabi’s mind jumped around in an attempt to place the being before them in some sort of category. She wasn’t a human as humans didn’t sprout wings. There were sirens with wings, but Sarabi KNEW the woman before him wasn’t such a creature. Her adversity to the ocean alone was enough to set the siren off. So, what was she? Sarabi didn’t know. And the curiosity ATE at his insides.

A  FISH  OUT  OF  WATER…  what  a  strange  idiom  to  use  to  explain  how  you  felt  in  cool  weather.  perhaps  sarabi  was  simply  more  used  to  hot  temperatures  than  the  low  ones…   it  was  off  ——   though  not  so  off  as  to  ask  her  for  an  explanation.  whatever.

❛  IS  IT  BECAUSE  OF  THE  WEATHER?  ❜ &&  more  importantly,  ❛  are  you  alright?  ❜

          ► ---- ;; ---- Perhaps, if it was summer, Sarabi would already be DRIED out on the ground. She could only thank the cold weather for her abilit to even keep standing, albeit shakily. Her head dropped on the other female’s while one hand reached out and grabbed on the black haired female’s shirt. Her tongue felt heavy in her mouth as she attempted to explain. 

a confrontation — of course he had to explain himself ; to think the implied , ‘ no thank you ‘ would’ve beenenough for the conversation to be dropped . gloved hands raise , digits rubbing at temples whilst he grits his teeth to himself . he’s not even sure himself why he hates accepting things ( a guilt complex is what it is . ) so offeringreasonable clarification is not something that will come easy to him . silently does he rummage through empty thoughts in his head , attempts to piece two  &  two together to conjure up something satisfying . there’s a sharp sigh , loud  &  slightly irritated before youth scrunches up is nose .

❝ no . i just don’t like . . . being given things .  ❞

        ► ---- ;; ---- Sarabi’s eyebrows rose as the male seemed to FIGHT within himself over some dilemma. That’s what made other beings so [interesting]. Had it been another siren, they would have taken the gift no problem. They were possessive little things, taking what they could. Sarabi’s own willingness to part with the pearl more so had to do with the multitudes he possessed already. But his Gesture of Kindness would go to waste. Oh well. At least he wasn’t too kind too often. Sarabi hummed after the unsatisfying answer. The pearls, beautiful and innocent, disappear in his clenched hand.

HAVING  THOSE  EXTRA  PAIR  OF  HANDS  was  truly  helpful   &   even  if  he  wasn’t  up  for  extending  that  hand  in  making  the  delicious  treats,  mor  would  definitely  share  the  majority  of  them  with  her  little  helper.  besides  she  also  needed  someone  to  be  a  taste  tester  that  wasn’t  biased  in  her  favour;  having  someones  opinion  of  her  creations  didn’t  really  mean  much  when  they  were  coming  from  a  close  friend,  as  much  as  she  appreciated  the  praise.  she  just  wanted  her  viewers  to  be  sure  she  wasn’t  just  faking  it.

morrigan  mimicked  his  bright  smile  with  one  of  her  own,  giving  a  great  view  of  her  milky  white  teeth.

           ❛     awesome   !   don’t  worry  about  that,  i’ll  be  doing  most  of  the  work   &   i’ll  guide  you  through  everything,     ❜     with  another  reassuring  smile,  they  finally  reached  her  apartment  door   &   she  fished  out  her  key  seconds  later.      ❛     yup,  a  video.  i  make  videos  whenever  i  make  something  new   &   post  them  to  youtube,  it’s  how  i  make  a  living.  if  you’re  not  comfortable  in  starring  in  the  video,  that’s  fine.  i  can  just  remake  the  swiss  roll  again  in  front  of  the  camera.     ❜

           ► ---- ;; ---- All in all, the siren was actually extremely a little EXCITED to try this new act created by humans. COOKING. Taking parts of food, combining them, and making it flavorful to one’s palette was so novel to the novel. His memories of food only extended to fulfilling his hunger. The notion of making it better didn’t cross his mind. It was just so human, it made Siren’s mind spin.

              ❝   I’ll be in your care. ❞    As he didn’t have a lick of knowledge on anything that had to with kitchens, the effort would probably be a bit more DIFFICULT than usual.
