With this two pages, I had to incorporate the U of the C.U.L.T I went about this by creating type saying ‘long gone’ warping them them in different directions from the starting one. I then took those and one of my images from the marble ink, I took this and changed the multiply layer over the top of the type.

Stickers

One of the meany things that I wanted to do with this Project was to have a small secondary outcome to go with my zine, and so I landed on stickers, that way it doesn’t  outshine the main outcome.  The stickers themselves have a see through in the areas where the white backing shows through.  

the first thing I did was collect the font that I wanted to use taking that into procreate then clipping my drawing of maggots over the top of it.

I then used the liquid tool and started to work with it till I had something that I liked making it look more liquid like.

I then drew slime like around it.

I then took the same drawing as maggots underneath the type 

I went and found a royalty free website and found a image of a person that I wanted, as it was in the correct positioning.

I then took in into photoshop and cut out the background and started sniping apart, I then exported each part separately and took them into procreate so I could continue with the editing.

I then duplicated the layers after merging the different parts togethers, I then with the bottom of these layers and coloured it in red, then with the other layer it half toned it over the top of the red layer.

then where the gaps where in the head and neck with a black shape to imitate the missing shape from the original cuts that were made.

then on another layer I took images of eyes I had collected, pieing them together then turning them black and white and then half toning them, then placing them over the top of the black areas and using a clipping mask on the layer so it would stick to the area.

Richie Velazquez is famously know as a  illustrator and designer who founded the digital art company Dela deso and is best known for his grunge and psychedelic slime art.

His work has been used by beats by Dr Dre for their halloween events, and his  Dela Deso 31 days of grime where is work is most recognised for. 

I think a large iconic part of his grime work is that he dose use all ready existing pieces such as photos and even other famous pieces of work for example the Mona Lisa and basically redraws over them, in some cases people have referred to him as a ‘art thief’ for this.

other iconic things about his work is his use of colours, their bright and contras the original image and works with his line art to create a slime effect.

On top both that he dose about removing anything from the space that occupies the eye 

and for the final letter of C.U.L.T. I followed the same system as before with the letters creating blobs for the liquid effect.

I then moved on to drawing the outline of a ribcage and then coloured it under a the line art  and then multiplied the coloured in blue layer
