âŽ: five things I have in common with my muse, âż: five things that are different about me from my muse
//Five things in common with Nasuca? Hmm lets see.
1. We both have a love of cats
2. Both are fiercly protective of our friends
3. Our friends are more like family than our own families
4. We both LOVE red velvet cake (with cream-cheese frosting not that butter cream stuff)
5. Completely loyal to our friends
Five things not in common
1. Not a dragonslayer
2. I have a dog instead of a cat
3. I am older
4. Iâm married
5. I have less friends (She in reality has an entire guild of friends LOL)

Sorin hopped up from his stump, and bounded into the clearing. âWell then, if you do not need anything else, we can be on our way.â Sorin nodded respectfully, aware of how the woman might be feeling. They certainly didnât meet under the best of circumstances. Maybe an attempt at learning more about the other would improve tensions? As they began walking he turned to ask the woman. âMay I ask what you can do? Your magic I mean. Its not everyday I meet a new magic wielder.â
It wasnât often that Nasuca was asked about her powers, most people in this realm could sense her power level as a second gen dragonslayer or most avoided her all together for traveling mostly alone. âWell...â She started after theyâd begun the track back to the guild hall. âIâm whatâs known as a dragonslayer, a type of magic handed down to be able to destroy dragons.Truth is though, no one has seen a dragon in over 300 years.â She shrugged a bit before offering a smile. âThere are many different types of dragonslayer magic. Mine is plant based.â As she spoke she held out her hand to form a small sprout in the palm of her hand.
Lost Flower Finds Fairy Tail [Gray x Nasuca] - Part 5
flowerdragonslayerâ:
Nasuca watched for a moment not entirely sure what that was all about but it had to do with her status as a dragon slayer, that much was for sure, though she wondered why the fire dragon slayer was so worked up. âItâs fine. I guess itâs rare to even be a dragon slayer.â Nasuca replied as Nyx crossed her arms turning from Natsu and Gray. âHe is still quite rude to treat you likeâŚâ Nyx paused glancing at happy. âFish?â She repeated as he held up a raw fish towards her.
Gray meanwhile went over to have a more private talk with Makarov, hoping to convince him to be with her joining the guild too if she wanted to. âGramps, having a dragon slayer like her join the guild, the timing couldnât be better. Especially after you knowâŚâ He explained to their guild master, talking about Lisannaâs unfortunate passing.
âYes, fish! Do you want some?â Happy offered his fish to Nyx again, soon seeing Gray come back from where he went off to.
âOur master would be happy for you to stay here, and join our guild, same for Nyx here too. Weâll leave it up to you decide though Nasuca, so take as long as you need to think it over.â Gray informed her, there was no pressure but he was still hopeful she would accept their offer.
Nyx wasnât entirely sure but if Nasuca was going to decide to join then sheâd extend her own friendship with this blue cat. Extending her paws the exceed joined Happy for the sharing of fish. Nasuca was happy that they seemed to be getting along better than it seemed her and Natsu had.
Looking back to Gray from the exceeds Nasuca barely even gave the choice a second thought. âI would... I mean we would love to join!â She replied happily smiling brightly. âMost of the other guilds we tried were unwelcoming, but yours has shown me differently.â

Nasuca was quiet for a long while, taking another bite of her food she glanced down. It had been a sort of similar situation with her however being guildless had meant that work was harder to come by. âI might not be able to fully understand but I know what itâs like to travel on your own with no real place to call home.â Looking back up and over to him she tilted her head just a bit. âYou could always travel between here and the guild. If youâd like to that is. At least thereâs no rent to pay for here.â
@theancientpowerawoken
âYes well, I am quite short on supplies. I brought quite a lot with me when I came here. I was certainly surprised to find this landâs people filled to the brim with magic. Its almost absurd. And we thought we were the last onesâŚâ Sorin spoke the last sentence in almost a whisper, looking down at the floor with eyebrows raised.
Sorin wished Jace was here. The boy would be asking all sorts of questions. âI am still sceptical about this guild. I am not one that is around people all too much. Although the need to aqcuire supplies and the money to purchase those suppliesâ
@flowerdragonslayer
Slowly Nasuca got up from the bed to place the now empty bowl on the table she had sat at just the night before. Her belongings still sitting in the corner near one of the legs. Looking back she watched him and smiled. âI promise you, the guild is a good one, full of good people. I think youâd fit in.â She paused thinking for a moment. âAs far as I know, we have always had magic.â
@theancientpowerawokenâ
Sorin nodded. âVery well. I will let you get ready for the morning. When you deem fit, meet me outside.â Sorin nodded courteously, then opened up the door to the cabin. Stepping through, he let it close behind him. Sorin went just be on the treeline, sitting on a stump that he grew slightly fond of. It was a good place to meditate.
For someone she had just met, he had been rather respectable. Mysterious sure but respectable all the same. When the door closed behind him Nasuca let out a small breath she hadnât realized she was even holding. Now it was time to check her things hope that what she hadnât worn over night had dried enough she could wear it back to the guild and home before changing.
Putting on her clothing Nasuca looked about the small cottage one last time. Not sure if sheâd see it or him again after theyâd gone to the guild. Would he be alright there or would he vanish never to be seen again? For some reason her chest ached at the thought of the latter happening.
âNo donât be like that...heâs a stranger you donât even know him...â Nasuca told herself as she finished getting ready. Swinging her cloak over her shoulder Nasuca reached for the door. Opening it slowly she stepped out cloak swinging around her almost like a gown of sorts. âAlright Iâm ready.â She said plastering a smile across her face.

âNot everyone tollerates pain the same.â Nausca admitted glancing up at him with a soft expression as she continued to dab away making sure not to miss anywhere along the gash. Sitting back a bit once sheâd finished Nasuca shook her head. âItâs okay really. So long as youâre okay and that wound wonât become infected.â
Nasuca offered a kind smile while she reached for the bandages. âTrust me you should hear some of the others. Though itâs not all bad being able to help this way instead of in a fight. Iâm good but Iâm still weak.â
Well, Renji couldnât argue that; he remembers back to the period where heâd been assigned to the 11th squad. Known to be the toughest fighters, yet some of the weakest people when it came to getting medically treated.Â
âBut Nasuca, yer not weak, right?â Renji asked curiously. âYer a dragon slayer - Iâve heard that theyâre some of the most powerful mages here in Earthland. While Iâve never seen ya fight, âm sure that ya canât be weak.âÂ
Nasuca paused when he spoke and gave off a small sigh followed by a half smile she tried to hide. âIâm not as strong as a first generation. Being a second generation the power wasnât given to me by a dragon.â She admitted as she finished wrapping his wound. Sitting back she looked at him and her expression changed from somber to soft. Smiling slightly more again. âItâs not so bad though. I mean I am a lot stronger than the average mage but Iâm no where near the strength of a first generation dragonslayer.â

If he was certain about her using the bed then she shouldnât push the matter. Sitting down on the edge of the bed Nasuca removed her boots setting them on the floor beside the bed. She turned pulling the covers up and over herself as she laid down. Well this was his bed alright, after all the dragon slayer had picked up on the scent as soon as she had lifted the covers. Laying her head down against the pillow it hadnât taken long for her eyes to close and sleep to take over.

âAh yes, sadly that is the case. But when your profession is monster hunting, that is inevitable. I am always on the move, so I have multiple Locations where I lay my head where I am from.â He then gestured to the small cottage they were in currently. âThis cottage had been abandoned when I arrived, So I went to work restoring this place. I thought that since it is well away from any cities or towns, that I would no be a bother to anyone.â
Nasuca was quiet for a long while, taking another bite of her food she glanced down. Once Renji had finally relented long enough to show her his wound just above his hip she smiled reassuringly. âIt will only hurt for a moment. But it would hurt a lot more if you let it go untreated.â
Tipping the bottle over some onto a cotton ball Nasuca began gently dabbing at the gash on his side to clean it up.
He hissed at both the coldness and the sting of the antiseptic as it seeped into his wound. Swallowing the lump that had formed in his throat, he fought back the urge to curse, instead biting his lips, tears forming in the corner of his eyes that threatened to fall.Â
âItâs just.. this body in this world is a lot more susceptible ta pain⌠my spirit body didnât really feel things like that,â he sighed. âI must sound like a whiny child right now,â he apologized. âHere ya are, cleaninâ this fer me, and I sound so ungrateful.â

His eyes shine at the mention of going to the morning market. Renji, himself, being an avid cook always sought out new ingredients he saw at the shops. He hadnât know there was a morning market in the area; it almost made it worth getting up this early. âThat actually sounds like lotsa fun!â he beamed at her, the fatigue gone from his figure. âAre ya lookinâ fer anything specific now?â
Taking out the list that Mira had given her Nasuca looked it over half in thought. âIt doesnât appear so, her list seems simple enough. But maybe something special for everyone couldnât hurt though.â A soft smile grew across her lips as she thought about what to get, and then she felt she had to get something special for Carla, Happy and Pantherlilly too. Something just for them. Glancing over Nasuca paused a moment. âIâm at a loss as to what to get everyone. Any ideas?â
âWow, yer gonna get everyone something? Isnât that gonna cost a lot of money?â He wonders if Nasuca was well-off. The farmerâs market didnât exactly have cheap items, but sometimes they had nice deals.
He thought âWell, fish fer Happy and kiwis fer Pantherlily fer sure.â Renji knows that they would definitely appreciate that. âThen, for CarlaâŚ? I donât know what she likes to eat. She likes ribbons - but that isnât really edible..?â he chuckles.
âI want to try, everyone has been so kind to me since I joined, it only makes sense.â She really did want to repay everyone for their kindness. And the market might just be the place. âHmm maybe looking around as she shop for Miraâs list will help?â

Through the night little occured. Sorin sat pondering the arrival of this new woman, as if by divine omen. Deciding the course of action he was to take.
In the morning he rose, made sure everything was in order, and made sure to make himself look busy when the woman was to awake. He would always be hiding his vampiric nature. It was something he had gotten used to. He hadnât heard and legends from this land about vampires, so he hoped he was in the clear. It was better to err on the side of caution. Thatâs how you survived after all.
Morning felt like it had come far too quickly as the slight sounds of movement in the small cottage had the dragon slayer stirring. At first it was a slow stretch out from under the covers with a light groan and then she sat up with a start. Glancing around Nasuca froze only to realize sheâd still been in the cabin sheâd borrowed the night before.
Settling back slightly in a more relaxed posture Nasuca finally looked around again hearing more sounds of someone trying to keep quiet and busy. Moving slightly on the bed to turn letting her legs hang over the edge Nasuca looked further over to see the male moving about.
Sorin turned to the woman, glad he no longer dealt with morning drowsiness as he no longer slept. One of the perks of being a vampire. The cabin would be clean. Sorin spent the night tidying up, the place had been a mess when he returned, mainly due to his assault on vampire nests and the need to constantly restore his gear. The dissarray had be removed, and in its place, order had been restored.
Sorin nodded. âAh, youâre finally awake. I trust you rested well? I hope my presence didnt disturb your sleep. Would you like breakfast?â
Watching as he turned towards her and seemed pleased sheâd awoken Nasuca couldnât help but nod some. âAs alright as someone can when in another bed.â She half smirked and then she was about to turn down the offer when her stomach had other plans, gurgling and grumbling away. A deep blush crossed her cheeks and she found herself looking down to the floor beyond the edge of the bed. âIfâŚif itâs not too much trouble.â
Sorin smiled, procuring eggs from seemingly nowhere. He turned and with one hand, he snapped and a fire pit lit itself. He cracked the eggs, and turned to grab more from a cabinet. He cracked a few More into the pot. He figured eggs would be the least conspicuous breakfast he could manage without money. In truth, he spent a good portion of the night looking for something the woman could eat when she woke.
He quickly threw a few things he could keep around without refrigeration. An herb here, a spice there. He wasnât able to use a full ingredient list, but he had limited resources so he did what he could. He placed the resulting eggs in two bowls, handing one to the woman. âItâs not much, but Iâm sure youâll like it. I am an excellent cook when I have a proper kitchen. And improvisation is my specialty in life.â
Sitting on the bed with her legs over the edge Nasuca took the bowl graciously from him. A smile dancing over her lips as she took the first bite. Glancing up at him as he spoke her grin grew wider. âItâs good, Iâd say just as good as Miraâs. Sheâs the best cook we have at the guild.â
Taking a few more bites she grew curious looking up at him. âMaybe you and her could work together too. I think everyone would love the food.â She paused before continuing. âYou use to have a proper kitchen?â

Renji shivered at the thought of having to go to Porlyusicaâs. He knew that the healer was quite intimidating although heâd never gone there himself, but heâd had heard the stories.Â
He pouted as he eyed his wound and then at the bottle of antiseptic once again. Renji knew he was being quite unreasonable right now and Nasuca just wanted to help. âOkayâŚâ he pouted as he pushed up his shirt to reveal the wound near his hip. âThanks.. I know ya just wanna help, but this body of mine, here.. itâs not used ta the pain.â
Once Renji had finally relented long enough to show her his wound just above his hip she smiled reassuringly. âIt will only hurt for a moment. But it would hurt a lot more if you let it go untreated.â

âI might not look like one, thatâs true,â he gave a small shrug of his shoulders. When compared to what one thought of a stereotypical âmonsterâ, it was true that Renji looked nothing like that.Â
âBut one doesnât have ta look a certain way to be one,â he smiled wistfully at the dragon slayer. âIâm not absolutely heartless,â he shakes his head. âBut maybe Iâve come ta realize that maybe Iâve done enough killinâ in my lifetime. I just donât know how ta protect those who are important to me though, without killinâ people. Itâs a nasty cycle, wouldnât ya agree?â
âMaybe itâs how you feel you need to protect them.â Nasuca offered before placing a gentle hand on his arm. âMaking sure those you care about are safe does not make you such. If it did then I could be considered one as well.â This time it was her turn to shrug some as she looked up at the redhead. After a moment she shook her head and smiled. âMaybe there are other ways we can protect those we care for?â
