name: Florian Reeves age: 25 birthday: October 14, 1995 gender: cis Male sexuality: Bisexual faceclaim: Maxence Danet-Fauvel height: 6" weight: 185lbs
background:
Florian was adopted from birth by the Reeves family. His mother gave him up because she would have been a single teen mom and believed he would have a better life elsewhere. Due to this, he has no memory of his birth mother and unless told, would have never known he was adopted. He was the first of three adopted children, but ultimately ended up being the middle child in terms of age. When his parents informed him theyâd be adopting another child, he was ecstatic. He didnât like being alone even at such a young age. They brought his first sister home not too long after. When he was 8, they adopted Cami as well, who was older, but he didnât care. Florian loved her too.
From a fairly young age, he enjoyed dance, and theater, and all of the art, so he convinced his parents to let him take lessons. He wasnât great at first, but he did everything with heart and spirit, which was most important at that point. Since he loved it so much, he worked hard and eventually got rather good. Even at 14 and 15 years old, Florian was now determined to be a professional dancer. He didnât know what kind and he didnât really care, but he wanted to do it. Then, at age 14, the whole family up and moved from San Diego to Chicago, though they left Cami behind while she went to college.
By age 16, he started having tics, he couldnât control them and didnât know what they were. They were little, random whistling and kissing noises that he couldnât bring himself to stop. The tics only escalated from there. For the most part, they arenât vulgar, but he has picked up some rather undesirable ones such as flipping people off, but he does his best to mask them when he can. (At first he wasnât able to.) Then, at 18 a doctorâs diagnosed him with tourettes.
With his diagnoses, Florian gave up on dance. He didnât know how to mask any of his tics and they were getting in the way. Theyâve lightened up over time and heâs learned how to better mask a lot of them when heâs out and about, but they still bother him. Exercise can occasionally cause him tic attacks as well, and theyâre awful for him. Florian will do anything possible to avoid them. He still volunteers a lot within the local theater groups and tries to dance whenever he can, but he does it completely on his own now. His tics are still embarrassing for him a lot of the time.
Despite everything, Florian is still a creative boy. He used art and painting to work through his emotions when he was diagnosed and he still does so now, only he sells the art as well. Focusing on painting helps keep the tics at bay often, and when he does tic, he views it as adding to the art.
