Ngl, it might just be me, but while I absolutely love and relate to Jax, Goose absolutely fumbled writing a good trans character even with Jax being based off her own personal experiences, it was so subtle people assumed and theorized Jax was everything but trans, including being an actual real life murderer

Both me and a friend are irl closeted transfems and by the end of watching the full show, theorizing, and watching theory videos on it, we ended up having absolutely no clue that she was also trans, and we were both shocked after seeing all of the wikis update her gender and seeing Goose confirm that Jax is a transfem

She have a pretty horrendous relationship with Zooble, the only other queer/trans character

She seem to feel no gender dysphoria whatsoever, which while not a requirement and not everyone feels, that would've been something that would've made this less subtle

She seem to have problems that are far worse than being closeted, having self-worth issues so bad she killed her closest friend, on top of the trauma of having killed her closest friend. All of this wayyyy overshadows her being trans. When a character is severely struggling from mental health, thinking about if a character is trans is about the last thing you think about as a viewer, and is almost offensive. My full focus was on her issues of self-worth and self-importance by the ending, thinking "Her mental health problems come from being trans and she killed her friend Ribbit because she was afraid of Ribbit finding out" feels very phobic as of itself

One of the popular theories I saw was that Jax committed a hit and run having killed a little girl due to everything shown in Episode 7 back when people were piecing things together, yikes

Not to mention, for most of the show she is the biggest villain outside Caine, and unlike Caine, she never even gets the chance to apologise for anything or explain herself on-screen. I don't like that the evil character with objectively the worst mental health problems, who never apologizes, is trans. Phobes already use "transness is a mental illness" as a defense for their ideologies too often.

The only hint we ever got was her being flustered dressing up in a maid outfit, which can easily be brushed off as a man valuing his masculinity far too much, and "Isn't she lovely" being part of the end scene lyrics, which at the time I thought was referring to Jax's opinion on Pomni due to how she was fully risking her life just to save her.

The show has kind of written Jax as someone with self-esteem, self-worth problems, and a guy seemingly struggling with his masculinity, more than a struggling closeted transfem. While I don't like when closeted trans characters are written as obviously trans, I feel like her case was way too subtle and overwhelming for the average person watching and theorizing on the show, let alone for someone who just casually watches it.

It's even more annoying because I did genuinely go through a time back when I was in school where I was the closeted transfem class clown that boymoded everywhere, I'm still kinda like that all the way now that I'm 20, and yet I still didn't catch this at all until after Jax died, until the actual show's creator brought it up

publicly i'll stand with Ren until more information comes out just in case its true, but like... reading the document all i saw was screenshots of those goofy little "these animals are us" conversations that Everyone has but captioned "this is zeal being a master manipulator," and then "my former co-workers didnt wanna be besties anymore after i burned that bridge :[" so uh. unless theres more damning evidence further down (didnt finish it tbh) it just reads as a he said/she said situation to me

Positivity never hurt anyone, so showing support for Ren is good regardless of the legitimacy of the claims, but the main problem is that as people support Ren, they also hate and actively harass Zeal in every way they can, when they should be waiting for more information before forming a proper opinion on Zeal.

The main point of critique I've gotten is "Zeal threatened to end his life, how could this guy not be bad". They both very clearly have a history of mental health issues, that's why this makes it very hard to judge. I knew a person with BPD who for instance threatened to end their life over a breakup despite not actually wanting to, they felt strongly enough to genuinely say so and believe it at the time. And despite not wanting to hurt the other person, I believe it was a reaction to what they perceived as being hated and abandoned. Human emotions are already extremely complicated, they are even more complicated when you consider that the brain works far differently in these cases.

Because they both have mental health problems, there is also the very dark but possible explanation that they both genuinely just saw the situation differently. Ren might've given consent without wanting to, or Zeal might've seen something as a sign of consent and Ren at no point said no or tried to stop it so he took that as further confirmation. It's upsetting to look at it this way, but human miscommunication has already been the cause of millions of deaths and misfortunes throughout all of history. I have ADHD, and when I was younger I met someone who had a pretty severe case of autism. We somehow ended up in a relationship and absolutely could not understand each other, that ended up in a ton of arguments and silent breakups, and as I met more people with autism I found that for some reason our brains fundamentally do not click together for some reason I still don't understand to this day.

I'm waiting for more information to come out because there have been a numerous cases of YouTubers alone being unrighteous accused of SA, most often by people who they personally knew in the past. People like Iskall85 to this day have not had their names cleared as the police investigation is still ongoing even like a decade later, and there is the real chance that he could be innocent, and he similarly lost everything from his source of income to his closest friends.

The problem with this situation is that, it's either you believe the evidence Ren provided, or the entire internet hates you for supporting a rapist. Same way I was bashed by some people with my previous post because I did not state "I 100% believe Ren and I hate Zeal", even when my post was specifically a call to stay in the gray until more information comes out. I don't even like or know much about Zeal or Pressure, I mostly just played the game because I like Gianni. The most I've been exposed to Zeal was playing Pressure a couple times years ago and hearing he was quitting because everyone was dogging him for being a bad game developer.

You have to remember, if Ren's accusations turn out to be false, that guy's entire life has been ruined. The least you can do as someone participating in this argument is try to minimize the damage caused to either person until we have more concrete information, over immediately jumping the gun and hating one or the other. Do one better, thoroughly search through both of their histories and publish all findings. False accusers are usually found out to be false through having a history of false accusations and/or lying, and abusers usually have a history of prior abuse or other harassment.

The problem is, unless the law is involved and comes to a conclusion, or Zeal directly admits to breaking Ren's consent, we don't know if either sides' claims are true. There have been even extreme pieces of evidence crafted by false accusers. When Dream was accused for a lot of things the accuser literally made a fake video of him moaning as well as a ton of screenshots of fake messages, that he very thoroughly debunked.

Most people have already come to conclusions about this situation before even reading everything, and they probably will do so even with my post and decide that I am a bad person for trying to analyze the situation more than just believing Ren's Google Document.

It's difficult to provide actual concrete evidence when you're an SA victim unless you maybe do something like a DNA or a lie detector test, which also makes it relatively easy for people to fake allegations, and that has unfortunately happened a very large amount of times on the internet now making it genuinely hard to tell what is real and what isn't. Support should still go to Ren regardless, but hate should go to neither side until more concrete evidence is found out.

If the allegations are true, I stand fully with Ren, however this needs further research than simply reading Ren's side of things and nodding along, as while supporting a potential victim is always good, people are harassing Zeal to no end as a result and at mass started doing so before he even wrote a response. Both individuals have a large history of pretty severe mental health issues, with Ren confirming having BPD and Zeal having already had a ton of metal health problems in the past like the break on top of the deleted video he posted. In these types of cases, both of them aren't the most reliable sources of information, and there is even the grim possibility Ren could've accidentally given consent or that Zeal saw something as a sign of consent, as Ren in both stories never said or implied a "no" in any way.

Zeal has already had some discrepancies in his responses on top of the whole suicide bait and potentially faking crying on-camera for sympathy points. Ren in their Google Doc mentioned they wouldn't want anything bad to happen to Zeal, that they were afraid of Zeal hurting himself as a response to the document, whilst also telling Zeal to rot in hell a day or two after posting a giant Google Doc that accused him of the worst type of abuse.

They both seem mentally unstable, which makes trying to figure out who is in the wrong kind of pointless, and harassing either or and picking sides just makes everything worse.

There's a reason the legal system follows "Innocent until proven guilty" over "Guilty until a Twitter response comes out". There have been genuine cases like this were artists' lives were ruined over allegations that turned out to be false. Look at Kwite and how he got very serious SA allegations thrown at him with loads of even audio evidence, which destroyed him until he thankfully enough was able to construct a very detailed response to clear his name while people were actively unsubscribing, and it was all was even later confirmed by the 'victim' to be false. Zeal was already at rock bottom as the Pressure community has been harassing him for years. Again, not saying Zeal is in the right, but I have no idea at this point and I'd rather not side with either or, as its clear Zeal isn't even in the state where he can make a proper response having lost everyone overnight before even being able to say his side of the story.

Stuff like this makes me fear and rethink my choice of becoming a YouTuber and a game developer, as all of it could crumble overnight over someone hating me even if I do nothing wrong.

You walk around in a pitch black environment and navigate around it using your phone by taking flash photos, and the app filters your photos to look similar enough to ones taken in Iron Lung.

Kinda inspired by Pokemon Go with how it integrates with reality. Also v ery gimmicky but I love it :3

I've heard all sorts of stories about animal abusers taking advantage of these offers and mutilating cats and all sorts and collecting cat skulls as trophies.

If someone can't afford to buy your pet, how on earth would they afford to take good care of it?

It breaks my heart to see all of these listings on OLX (European ebay) and I can't really warn them as my account will probably be marked as a bot. I get that they're trying to be generous, and the sellers are likely really kind-hearted people, but they don't realize the danger they're putting these pets into.

I think selling your pet online as a whole is a bad idea, but its kinda unavoidable now I suppose.
