The Turnigy 9x Manual
Many have been asking for the manual for the Turnigy 9X RC controller (that we promised to post on our website). We have been trying to find the Firmware v2 version. Unfortunately it doesn't currently exist. So her are the two best options:

Flite Test - Parallel and Series - FLITE TIP Have you ever needed more flight time but all you have are small batteries? Or maybe you need a 4 cell, but all you have is 2 cell batteries. Well, let Josh and Josh illustrate a couple of very useful ways to implement a couple new custom battery connectors. SPECIAL NOTE: All PARALLEL batteries should be the SAME VOLTAGE. All SERIES Batteries should be the SAME CAPACITY.

Hi, why can't the new episodes not be seen in Germany ? Please fix that !!!
We are working on it. This is the response we got from YouTube:
The issue of blocked content in Germany has to do with GEMA:
At the moment, there is some content that is blocked in certain countries
even if the rights are secured with all rights holders. Thus, while
YouTube has agreements with local German and global music labels as well
as German artists, such labels and artists will only be able to monetize
their content outside of Germany due to ongoing issues with GEMA, the
German collecting society. YouTube is in communication with GEMA in hopes of making music content in Germany available in the near future.

Repairing the AT-6
Written by: Chad Kapper
You may, or may not, be aware of the "Angry Swordsman" episode. We sliced a plane in half. Well, we didn't... the swordsman did. Here it is in case you missed it...
Now we're going to use this plane to illustrate a repair log.
First we need to assess the damage. The fuselage and the left wing took the bulk of the damage, and were completely severed. There were a few blemishes including the canopy and the tail. Internally the elevator servo arm broke, the elevator push rod was bent, and the clevis was broken. Additionally the servo in the wing was stripped.
Fortunately none of the electronics took a direct hit.
The servo arm was completely broken off and I didn't have a replacement. So I replaced the whole servo with a similar sized one from another wrecked plane.
I replaced the connector on the push rod, straightened it and reinstalled it.
I used hot glue on the wing and fuselage. I decided to reinforce the wings to make them stronger. Especially across the repaired section.
After gluing the wing together, I cut a channel with a razor knife and inserted a 3mm wide carbon fiber strip. A few drops of foam safe CA glue held it in place just fine.
After hot gluing the fuselage back together, I reassembled the plane.
Now it's functional and back together again! But wait... not done yet. We're going to embrace the blemishes and enhance them in the next steps.
That's it! All done. Personally I think it looks better than new. Now it has more character.
It flies great! Watch the review here:
Battery Testing Disappointment
The last time we tested a battery it was a Turnigy 1.3 11.1v. Afterwards there were many criticisms regarding it's published rating, weight, and how it would compare to a higher priced name brand. So we thought this time around let's compare the Turnigy Nano-tech to one of the most popular brands on the market... Thunder Power.
Pictured above:
Thunder Power 2650-3SP45 2650mAh 3-Cell/3S 11.1V G4 Pro Power 45C LiPo ($80)
Turnigy nano-tech 2650mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack ($21)
Unfortunately, right out of the gate the Thunder Power had a dead cell. Now to be fair, I know that it's impossible to have 100% perfect product exit the factory every time. But I've purchased about 30 Turnigy batteries and 4 Thunder Power in the past year. So far none of my Turnigy batteries have had a dead cell. Although I have had two Zippy (from Hobby King) batteries get puffy after only a couple of conservative flights.
I still believe that Thunder Power makes great products. I just think it's interesting that so many people criticize Hobby King for their batteries, yet we have had very good experiences with the Turnigy line. At these prices I can buy 3 Turnigy batteries, and pay for shipping, for the price of one Thunder Power.
Just my thoughts.
