Spending my last days in Africa at the watering hole!

Look who joined us on our boat ride today! I'm really meeting so many new friends all over the place! And the best part is that there animals! We had two seal's hop up onto the boat and join us for some R&R. We also had several lovely pelicans drop by and gulped down some yummy fish!

Here are a few fun facts about the Namib Desert - a whopping 55 million years old. 1. It has some of the highest sand dunes in the world. 2. Namib coming from Nama means "vast place". 3. There is so much iron in the sand (see the picture with the black sand) that it will make a compass spin in circles. 4. There are only four places in the world where the ocean meets the desert, the Namib being one!

Check out this guy!!!! We found serval chameleons on our tour! They really are a remarkable creatures! There are over 180 different species! It's really very sad tho - these guys are captured and then smuggled to Asia as pets. And are just another animal that are in immediate danger of becoming extinct.
