Jordan Kent

“Are you alright?” Jordan asked, hunched over them. He reached over to move a bit of hair out of their face. Whatever happened here left them on the ground looking a little rough. To say the least. “Do you need medical attention? I can get you some help.” He offered, looking over them carefully. 

Rachel stood silent as the park of children played around her. To most people, she was just a young girl, perhaps a babysitter or a older sister watching their sibling play. But she wasn’t here for that. She needed a pure of heart and well, there was nothing more pure than a child. Her gaze swept the park slowly, before she noticed someone watching her. She didn’t care, they couldn’t stop her after all. She held their gaze, a small smirk forming on her face. @fallengothamstarters​

Jordan was going for a jog when he’d ran out of breath by the park, glancing quickly towards the children. He noticed something that very much stood out amongst the crowd. Raven stood among them, and ever since seeing her with blood red eyes. He felt off about her. His lips turned into a tight frown and he walked up to her. “What are you doing here?” 

     “What?” Jake snapped out of his train of thought, eyes flickering to the other before returning to their original focus. “Oh yeah, I’m fine. Totally fine” he nodded fervently, turning to face them now. He didn’t expect life to be so stressful here, but everybody had questions that didn’t have easy answers. And then there was how he was getting Mar’i to come home. “Why’d you ask?”

“Because you don’t seem all that fine, J.” He replied with a softened tone. “You’re staring off into space a lot and not in the fun way like you’re looking for shooting stars or something.” He’d always liked Jake. Though, it helped that he was totally and utterly in love with his sister and just wanted to make a good impression on him. “You looked a bit worried.” 

“okay valid point. Plus I guess getting you Pneumonia wouldn’t really bode well with the whole trying to convince your brother that I’m a better option than Mar’i thing.” she sighed, placing a hand on her temple. She was pms-ing bad. and unfortunately for Jordan he was the one closest in her vicinity. “ugh can you at least get me some pain killers then?” she asked, laying down and hugging a pillow.

He should probably hold his tongue. They were on the same side, really. She wanted Jon and he wanted to be with Mar’i. The only issue was... “You’re not the better option.” He argued. “I’m sorry, but how could you consider yourself in anyway better than Mar’i. You’re on the same playing field as her. You’re equal. So you should be treating her with more dignity rather than simply considering her as nothing but the worse option for Jon.” He said, his ranting cut short by her words. “Oh, yeah. Sure.” Jordan softened, moving to the cabinet where some was kept. He grabbed the bottle and her water from earlier before handing her both. 

“What are you doing to that poor wrapping paper?”

“What are you doing to that poor wrapping paper?” Jordan asked, cocking his head as he walked in. It was an odd way of wrapping but that wasn’t why he was there. He took a seat awkwardly across from Dick. “Um... can I help?” He asked softly. Grabbing some wrapping paper and getting to work anyway. “I was just wondering... How much do you know about Jon and Mar’i?” he gauged. Curious if Mar’i had told him anything. If it was a secret to even him, was it also a secret to Dick?

“You’re kidding, right? I’m not going out in that snow storm!”

“You’re kidding, right? I’m not going out in that snow storm!” Jordan scoffed softly as he looked out the window. “Besides, I’m not even the one who finished off all the chips. If you want groceries so bad you should-” He cut himself off as he finally looked down at her face and his mouth twisted into an unsure smile. It was hard to defy her wishes and he was never good at it. In truth she was scary to him. She was just so confident. Something he could never be... It always put him off. He felt himself sigh. “All I’m saying is that YOU wouldn’t die from being exposed to the cold.”

“I don’t care about anything else, the pudding is all that matters”

“I don’t care about anything else, the pudding is all that matters.” Jordan decided to the boy next to him with a smile, stuffing his face. “You sure you don’t want any, Damian? It’s really good.” Like most people in this world, he had the awkward and unfair advantage of knowing the people he spoke to more than they could possibly know him. Not that he knew Damian Wayne very well at all. Damian had helped to train him in the future and he respected how fantastic of a fighter he was but the two weren’t ever close. Damian had a brash personality that his brother Jon probably could handle much better than he could.

“I can’t believe no one has spiked the eggnog yet”

“I can’t believe no one has spiked the eggnog yet.” Jordan murmured to himself, not realizing his mom was standing right behind him when he said it until he turned his head and saw her. He jumped a bit with surprise. “Oh, shoot- that’s probably weird for you right?” He asked her, “I mean, I’m only a year old to you. Sorry, mom. -Lois.” Talking with her was still odd no matter how hard he tried to normalize it. She was just so young.

"You really can’t cook, can you?”

"You really can’t cook, can you?” Jordan asked with a soft laugh after he had taste tested her soup. Not wanting to upset Dory, he placed a hand on her back and tried to think of something reassuring to say.  “It’s okay Dory, we can fix this.” He tried. “We just need um- spices. I think.” Truth be told, he wasn’t the best cook either. He glanced over the recipe quickly before looking through the cabinets for something that might help them out. 

Yara: "hey, do you want to go somewhere with me?" take her somewhere she likes, and then when the moment is right kiss her.

Yara: I know you've seen romcoms.

Yara: okay but like a good one or?

Jordan: I don't think romcoms are a lot like reality

Jordan: But maybe I'll ask her out to dinner but that's too boring, right?

Yara: Yes. I'm always right, obviously.

Yara: Yes!! For Zeus' sake YES!

Jordan: Okay I've texted her

Jordan: But I don't really know how to ask?

Jordan: Hey, Mar'i

Yara: Oh come on Little Jojo. You're a great catch. She'd be lucky to have you. I mean, if she didn't like you...would she have broken up with Jon?

Jordan: You really think so?

Jordan: I guess you're right

Yara: Jordan this isn't about you right now.

Yara: Listen have you met Dick? I mean i love the guy but come on the apple does not fall far from the tree i'm sure she has just as much feeling for you as she does Jon.

YAra: Just..think about it. This might be the only chance you get.

Jordan: Uhhhhh who is this about then?

Jordan: This feels like a SCHEME on your part

Yara: and what if in that time she decides she wants him back?

Yara: come ON do you really want to stay wondering what if for the rest of your life?

Jordan: I dont know, Yara... what if I ruin it?

Yara: you'll get over it

Yara: no. no i can't i just....can you just make a move already please?

Jordan: Oh, I can't do that

Jordan: My twin brother just got broken up with by her, I really can't

Jon: You're not, not if I wasn't betraying you by dating her
