I'm working on a Patricia costume for Dragoncon this year. I'm trying to use foam clay to make the grimoire but I haven't painted it yet and it's making me laugh because it looks like extremely weird icing.

But that made me think maybe you would want to ice some brownies this way for your widow's bay watch parties? Would go great with punch.

Now I have to do the head piece. The hardest part will be the fox head. For some reason they don't seem to sell realistic faux fox heads anywhere.

you know that post on here that's like don't keep your phone balanced with your pinky because it puts your hand all out of alignment or whatever? And when I saw it I was holding my phone with my right hand and not doing that, so I was like oh good I don't have to worry about this. #honestly feel like we need to get away from this kind of thinking #because the surprise that good art could be made for free sucks #what this is actually implying is that the only things that have value are things you pay for #or that the only good writers are the ones who are are paid to do it #and that's such a sad way to look at the world #it shouldn't be shocking that talented craftspeople and artists and highly skilled writers make things for the love of making them #idk but I feel like all this “and it's free!” stuff that surrounds fandom now unintentionally devalues what people are making #it's art it's community it's not a product that you're getting for free #fandom
