#honestly feel like we need to get away from this kind of thinking#because the surprise that good art could be made for free sucks#what this is actually implying is that the only things that have value are things you pay for#or that the only good writers are the ones who are are paid to do it#and that's such a sad way to look at the world#it shouldn't be shocking that talented craftspeople and artists and highly skilled writers make things for the love of making them#idk but I feel like all this βand it's free!β stuff that surrounds fandom now unintentionally devalues what people are making#it's art it's community it's not a product that you're getting for free#fandom
