Personally I don't think this is a justifiable statistic. It is a huge generalisation. However, I do see some truth in it. A lot of people probably have met their match by the age of 16. However, many people don't truly experience the world until after then. What about all the people who go traveling at 21 and end up marrying a foreigner like my parents did? What about when you go to a club for the first time at 18 or 21 and meet them there? What about when you go to college or university at 18? There are an endless amount of opportunities to meet your match beyond the age of 16. As for how it applies to me... Well, in my current relationship, no, it does not. I met my boyfriend at 17 but did not become friends with him until I was 18. Who knows if we will be together in the future but he seems to be on the right track atm :P thank you for that ask anon. It was very refreshing to answer such a thought provoking question :)
