with the rise in flock cameras and this STRICTLY roleplay account's content, i think some tips are handy
1 you should NOT point a 1000nm green laser, pr at minimum 500nm, at the lens. this makes a horrible problem for the camera and renders it broken. i use my laser constantly and i'm always running into this problem it's so annoying
2. always bring your phone near them!! then they, and everything else keeping us nice and safe as a society, can track you through pings / gps to make sure you're nice and safe at home
3. you can find a high majority of flock cameras at deflock dot gov by city, state, or zip code. best to see where it's safe!! more cameras = more safety.
^^^ you can also use "have i been flocked" to see if your plate has been read
4. flock cameras will often be mounted on something, such as a light post or a street sign.
5. if a camera somehow ends up in your hands, LEAVE IT WHERE YOU FOUND IT!!!!!! to make sure they don't get lost, many flock cameras have gps tracking in them. sometimes, they'll fall off wherever they're mounted, so it's best to leave them and allow proper workers to fix it
6. if something gets stuck to wherever a flock camera is posted, anything sharp (such as a 18 tooth blade) can help cut it off! they're usually hollow, so as long as the blade can cut it should work. many things can get stuck on a post
^^^ they often have copper and gold in them. if attempting to remove a piece of litter and you damage the inners, reduce reuse recycle what you've damaged
7. flock cameras work like they have a wall behind them; they can only see the direction they're facing. this will often be combatted by another camera in the first camera's blind spot.
the data flock cameras take, such as specific details of a car (damage, markings, etc), is stored in a database. this info is shared with immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) and the police.
