It's Sully's time to shine because apparently i'm allergic to drawing women.
LIU AND SULLY AU LORE DROP BELOW!!
My version of Liu doesn't actually have DID, and I stuck closer to the demon possession idea but made it more complex and made it make more sense with my AU, since i felt having DID or any similar disorder wouldn't make much sense with my version of him. Sully's a spirit who ended up trying to possess Liu after the incident but did it as he was dying, so it resulted in him essentially bringing Liu back to life but getting them stuck together in the process, since Sully is the only thing now keeping the body alive. Instead of getting the full control Sully wanted, he was stuck sharing the body with Liu, with them fighting constantly to be in charge of the body.
They were incredibly unstable at first and neither were really able to fully give up control for extended periods of time even when they wanted to, and could accidentally control a part of the body when they didn't want to.
The cross necklace Liu wears is the one thing that can keep him in charge of the body, with a sort of ritual being performed to make it a device to ward off spirits, making it an easy way to stabilize them and give Liu control of his body while he wears it. In order to stay completely stable though, they still have to switch occasionally. Taking off the necklace after a long enough period of time gives them enough stability for Sully to be completely in charge of the body as long as Liu doesn't fight for it.
The body is still kinda dead though. It can no longer heal any wounds larger than a scratch. Healing magic doesn't work on any wounds big enough to require stitches, but does work with smaller ones. As long as they were in the overworld the body would also begin to fall apart, hence the joint stitches, and the body would age at a much faster rate than normal. Had they stayed there it would have resulted in the body beginning to fully decay after a while.
Sully does still hate Jeff in my AU, but the reason being that he blames him that he got stuck with Liu. Even though he was trying to possess him and just chose the worst possible time. Sully absolutely hates the situation and feeling like he's having to conform to the rules of this human now. He generally doesn't kill people due to Liu not allowing him to. Not for moral reasons, but because Liu has a reputation to uphold in the overworld as a detective and doesn't trust Sully to be as smart or clean about it as he is. So Liu is the one killing people instead. Sully doesn't necessarily care much for killing to begin with, but the fact he's not allowed to pisses him off and makes him wanna do it more, and he hates how safe Liu goes about it. He finds it boring.
There's a lot more to them, but i've already written way too much. They mean so much to me I will put them in a meat grinder where they belong.
