Product Review: MAC Prolongwear Concealer
Brand: MAC
Product: Prolongwear Concealer
Claims: A lightweight fluid concealer that provides medium to full coverage with a comfortable, natural matte finish. Colour-true formula lasts up to 15 hours. Helps conceal and correct the look of under-eye circles, and discolorations. Comes in a clear glass vial with a matte black pump.
Cost: $19 USD/$32 AUS
I love this product not only for all day coverage and a smooth finish, but also mixed with your favourite Moisturiser to wear as an all-day foundation.
It wears incredibly well with little or no creasing. This alone is enough for me to buy up all stock. It also has a smooth matte-ish finish so it looks soft on the skin. If you want to change its finish, use a luminising moisturiser, primer or BB Cream to thin out the coverage.
For special occasions such as Weddings, Parties and Proms or Formals, this is my go to product. I know I can rely on Pro-longwear Concealer in heat and humidity as well as rain and I have also used it on Trash the Dress Shoots where the bride is totally under water, and It hasn’t Budged!
Would I buy this product again? Yes
Value for Money: 4/5 While it is not the cheapest concealer on the market (especially in Australia), the product does exactly what it says and such a small amount goes along way. I recommend half a pump for under eye and spot concealer or two-three pumps to mix with moisturiser as a foundation.
Packaging: 4/5 The glass bottle and pump looks great, and unlike plastic won't split. Just don’t drop it! The last few pumps are hard to get out but they will come out, just a bit more finger pump action is required.
