Rocket looked at Seth, knowing he said something but also not understanding a word of what he said, “right. I love the Netherlands.” Once alone, Rocket grabbed a snack, still on Dante’s laps, “Bear doesn’t have exes, I still think he’s our brother.” down the hall, Bear opened the door to his room, “flipping the switch on before closing the door behind them, “why would you ever show up at my house?! are you absolutely looney-bin-off-your-rocket-crazy-horse??”

Dante rubbed Rocket’s back “I mean, it would be awfully weird if he was your brother and didn’t mention it, especially since the only reason he’d be here was your family’s money, but I’ll take a look into it” Taking another bite of food Seth looked around before focusing on Bear “I had nowhere to go” Seth said “I was told I had to help with a pre-ops here and once I arrived I was burned and the only people in this city I know are you and Nicholas and you were always nice to me”

“Oh are you fasting? That’s good, it’s what the cavemen used to do to lose weight.” Rocket stated matter-of-factly, “Yeah, help yourself.” Bear added, “grab a plate and I’ll give you a tour of the house. Let the lovebids take a break from giving me nausea.” 

“The Neanderthal actually saw  their weight as an extra layer of protection so it was highly unlikely they would actively try and lose weight” Seth said and then nodded as he took a plate “It was very nice to meet you” he said and Dante nodded “You too” Once Bear and Seth walked off he looked at Rocket “Don’t tell me that was one of your brother’s exes”

Bear shrugged, “I guess that’s fair. Dad might’ve been in south Africa though.” Bear responded and Rocket nodded in agreement, “you really should save your pubes, that’s a whole lot.”

Rocket looked back at Bear and pulled his pants back up “Statistically, anything is possible, but that doesn’t mean it’s true” And shaking his head Dante pulled Rocket onto his lap “Be nice” he said “It’s good to have you here, I know Bear appreciates not feeling like the third wheel again” Seth looked at the cop and then the food “Can I have some. I haven’t eaten anything since yesterday”

 Rocket scoffed, “obviously.” he rolled his eyes as if to point out how ridiculous that comment was, “you sort of look like Bear…Where was your mom 30 years ago?” Rocket asked, “He’s not our brother, Rocket….I don’t think so…Wait.”

“I’m not your brother” Seth said matter-of-factly “me and my parents lived in South Africa until I was 11 and my father and I share the same birthmark. It’s the shape of a crabapple” and he pulled the top of his pants down  to show them “my pubic hair covers it for the most part, but when I shave you can see ot better”

Bear made a face, feeling bad for Seth who was clearly struggling. “we’re watching 27 dresses, apparently there’s more to it than meets the eye.” Bear said, “yes, it’s really deep. I read about it on buzzfeed.” Rocket added, “this is my boyfriend, he’s a cop.”

Seth nodded “Sounds like fun” he said, feeling a little out of place, but knowing this was the best and only place for him to go “Nice to meet you, and don’t believe it. It’s not really that deep” Dante said and held out his hand “Nice to meet you” he shook his hand “You look a lot older than Rocket” And at that Dante quirked an eyebrow “Yeah, well. I am”

“Ouch, yeah thanks for bringing that up.” he said as he showed the charcuterie board that Rocket had ordered, “you don’t have family or something? Friends?”

Seth looked at Bear and walked inside, looking at the two other men and seeing them look  at Seth he said hello and turned back to Bear “I haven’t been away from the...girlfriend since I was 18. I never really had time for friends, besides you kind of...I guess”

“Ha, ha, that’s so funny. Why would that happen? Did you piss off that girlfirend of yours again?” He looked back at his place, “my brother and his boyfriend are home, so maybe we can just eat and talk about that burn of yours some other time?”

Seth looked over Bear’s shoulders and could see two people sitting on the couch and he finally caught on “Oh, yeah” he nodded “Yeah, food sounds good and I’m sorry for just showing up like this, but I know you’ve been through this before, being left at the alter and all. So thank you”

Bear looked at him in confusion before beginning to laugh nervously, “uh burned? ha ha. You may want to go to a hospital then, budster. No burn specialist here.” 

Seth furrowed his brow in confusion “No, I don’t mean physically burned” he told him “I mean that I’ve been wiped away. No contacts, no resources....nothing. Except for you that is” He sighed “Can I come in. I don’t know how comfortable I feel talking about this out here”

“Rocket, no. No more pickle juice, that shit is nasty.” He called out as he opened the door, “oh hey.” He immediately stepped out, closing the door behind himself, “what are you doing here?”

Seth took a step back as Bear opened the door “Hi” he said shyly “I know I’m not who you expected, but I have nowhere else to go” He looked around to make sure nobody was looking in his direction “I’ve been burned” he said “and you’re one of two people I know in this city”

“As she should be. What do you all say we get a drink? Have a proper toast to all of teh success.” Romeo said as Thomas came up with two drinks in hand, “sorry, already ahead of you.” he handed one drink to Miguel “but you’re all welcome to play catch up.”

“Sounds good to me” Victor said as he lifted his glass and when Thomas came over and handed Miguel his drink he clinked glasses with him “I am so proud of all of you” he started “What you all have accomplished... you all finding your better halves. You truly make me proud to be your father”

“well both of you are stellar cooks and tv stars.” he returned the kiss with a smile as they made their way over to their children, “well hello. Don’t you all look sharp and lovely. Where’s my little princess at tonight?”

“Speaking of, we’re invited to Gordon Ramsey’s new restaurant opening in a few weeks” he told Romeo as they made their way over and agreed with Romeo “Putting us to shame” and Camille chuckled “Says one of People’s magazine sexiest people” and at that Victor blushed  “Kylie is with my folks getting spoiled silly no doubt”

“a trip? Aren’t we on a trip now?” He leaned over the bar as he waited, “though I could always use an excuse to see you in those swim trunks I love.” he teased as he picked his glass up “cheers, to being an emmy winner.” 

Victor laughed “No, a real one that has nothing to do with work” he told him as he played with the collar of Romeo’s tux “Just us on some beach getting drunk and browner by the second, and yeah, I can see if they still fit” He leaned over and kissed him “Trust me, most of that was all Mitchell”

Romeo did his best to smile gracefully as he posed for a few pictures, “alright, I’ll let you get the pictures you really want.” he told the photographers as he stepped aside to let them take solo pictures of Victor, as he preferred. “the camera loves you, I’ve always said that.” Romeo laughed and pulled back, “not letting them bait me, come on, wrap it up and then I’ll need a strong scotch.” 

Victor wanted Romeo to stay beside him to help ease his nerve, but he knew this was all part of the deal. He smiled over at Romeo before standing for another handful of pictures and when he was able to walk away he headed over and hugged Romeo before leading him over for a drink “A strong scotch and a glass of champagne please” Victor said as he rubbed Romeo’s back and rested his head on the other’s shoulder.

“We should take a trip after all of this is over”

“Well you and the kids have a lot going on that I don’t get to be a part of. I guess this is one of the rare occasions we can do something together.” he leaned over to kiss his husband, “I’m really proud of all of you, I feel like the unaccomplished one.” 

“Are you kidding?” Victor said “none of us would be here without you and you giving us the support and love we all needed to even try” He laced his fingers with Romeo’s as they stepped into the light of cameras and people calling their names “It’ll be over soon, I promise” he whispered in his husband’s ear.

“Victor!” one of the reporters asked “What do you have to say about Luke Evans wanting to take you on a date?” Victor chuckled awkwardly “He’s very sweet, but I already have my date” and he pulled Romeo close.

“They are, they should be here any minute now.” Mitchell said as Thomas wrapped his arm around Miguel’s waist, “alright, it’s lovely catching up with you all, but I’m here to get drunk off expensive booze and have a lot of overpriced snacks.”

Miguel leaned into Thomas’ hold and Camille was still getting used to seeing the two being so affectionate in public, but it made her happy since the to had worked so hard to reach that place. Of course Thomas was still Thomas “Not too drunk. You have an image to protect now” she reminded him as Romeo and Victor walked up to the entrance and Victor stopped to straighten his husband’s tie “You look so handsome baby” he smiled “I know these things aren’t your thing, but it means a lot that you came”

“The only star here is you.” Mitchell smiled as they approached Miguel, “hey newlywed. Still madly in love with Tommy?” he teased as Thomas posed in front of the cameras, getting some good pictures before walking over to the group. “wow, if it isn’t my award winning brother.”

Camille rolled her eyes, but smiled nonetheless “You are too charming for your own good” she said and when her brother came up she hugged him “Of course, and did you hear? He just got a featured role in a Scorsese movie, can you believe it? The whole family are celebrities now, and I’m so proud you and Victor winning best hosts..” Miguel looked around “Where are your parents anyway? I thought they were coming tonight?”

“I’d feel bad, but at least it gets the attention off of me.” he leaned in and kissed Camille’s cheek, “come on, movie star, let me show you off a bit I guess.” he said as he held her hand and began to walk, “should I get a picture alone? I feel like you’re outshining me.” Thomas joked to Miguel.

“I hate to tell you baby, but you’re a star now” Camille said “I mean you and your dad just won an Emmy after all” She rubbed his back and watched Thomas and Miguel soak up the attention. Looking up at his husband Miguel smirked “I think they want a picture of you alone” he told Thomas “especially after scoring that Scorsese movie” He kissed him again and then walked over to Camille and Thomas “Hey guys”
