It teaches you, help you learn better about how are we thinking about the present and what others think about it.

However, we should consider that we are wrong, we cannot control everything we think we can...

Every other person is portraying a fake self, idealized self, superficial self in front of people and not accepting their true self, identify, behavior.

Always acting happy, making stuff up to laugh on it, senseless talks, telling rubbish stuff which they will do in future if they achieve something, being jealous of people's life & stating that is nothing as compared to themselves, considering them greatest, pleasing other people for attention.

Each time when I witness these things, people - I can't help but wonder, why are they acting, what are they trying to prove here, what are they gonna get.

Why can't they accept their true self ?

Sadly, we are more likely to be driven by selfishness, panic, uncertainty, impulsiveness, survival instincts and other qualities associated with the ego-self. That's how society, social media is training us. We measure our worth by our achievements and possessions. Money and status feed the ego, and society rewards those who plays the game of acting with skill and drive.
