Ragnhild was happy about being in Bristol and being able to see Pablo easily. Sumita went to a conference which she enjoyed, and has been reading a book. Laurine was pleased to have been diagnosed with ADHD and a couple more things.

Our main discussion was aboutĀ music.
We discussed how our guests met (thanks to this podcast!) and learnt a little bit about their backstory. We then talked about how music helps them connect with people, dealing with autism disclosures, networking, and how Sumita and Ragnhild started our in music.

New zine project: The Autistic Dictionary
This is not a glossary of autism-related terms for allistic folks - itās a dictionary of words we like as autistic people with echolalia and sensory enjoyment of unusual things. :)
Iām aiming to get this done by the time Autscape starts on 16th August 2016, but if thereās not enough material by then or Iām not able to put it together due to lack of spoons itāll get done within the next month or two. If the survey is still open, your words will be included in the zine.

Iād like to make a dictionary of all the words we love as autistic humans. Words that taste good to say, words that are stimmy, words that please our echolalia. And I need your help.

WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?
If youāre autistic and you live on the internet you might be aware of AndrĆ©aās comic, Par La FenĆŖtre, about autism, trans issues, and mental illness. Sheās particularly well-known for the ABC of Stimming. She recently made a comic about the autistic sense of humour, and now readers are sending in the words that please them the most, and itās lovely!
Autscape 2016 is coming up in the UK (16th August, 7 days from today), so Iām curious to see whether I can get enough material for a zine to try to sell there. Iāve made a few small zines before, and I enjoy it a lot. Iām thinking A5, nice paper, stitch-bound, maybe a card cover? And all the words in alphabetical order, laid out like a proper dictionary, with a full list of your names as contributors in the back. Iāll sell it at Autscape and online in paper format, and itāll be a first but I can probably find a way to turn it into a PDF for download, too.

Autistic Flappy Hour interviewed Steve Silberman in Norwich back in May. We talk about differences between the US and the UK as well as public perceptions of autism. We also touch on the subject of pop culture, and wonder what Steve would do the same and differently in hindsight. We close by discussing how the book could be used as a resource for young autistics, and mention the issue of translating Neurotribes into other languages.
