Two weeks after the Zurich Pride, all the Swiss pups gathere again, this time in the French speaking part of Switzerland, for the second big Swiss pride of the year, and what an event it was for the puppies! So this is going to be a very long post =)
The very beggining wasn’t very promising, even if we met again with the Swiss-german pups…. A heavy shower poured on us right before the walk, and the organisers told us about some kind of pressure from the authorities to keep us from being too “provocative”… walking on all fours during the walk was forbidden and they would have to remove offenders from the parade!
Fortunately, I was in full rubber (first time ouside!) so water wasn’t really a problem, and I didn’t bring my kneepads, so I wouldn’t have walked an all fours anyway. This still goes to show Switzerland isn’t really used to too “colorful” characters parading around. Spoiler: everything went very well in the end!
We were shortly joined by French and Belgian pups from Gaydogtraining

Even if the organisers were a little anxious about a group of extremist-catholics being around to try to pray the gay away in Latin, I was really surprised by all the positive reactions we had from everyone! The public was very welcoming, kids were smiling, and we provided many selfies =)

After the pride, everyone arrived at a village where Gaydogtraining & Kinky Zone and others had installed a nice booth for the puppies to play and relax, and be the attraction of the place! There was no way to ignore the pups since the booth was on the way to the only toilets =) So we gathered quite a curious public.
And this is where the first MrPuppyCH edition took place! What’s amazing is it was even announced in a local daily paper.
Even if it started raining again, the 4 contestants gave a great show in front of the public, who voted to elect the best in show…. And the winner is Leicko from Zurich, here during his rescue-dog show.
All the wags go to the organizers of the event, who did an amazing job, and saw the ambitious event through.
A big wet lick to everyone there, I have wonderful memories from the event, and I hope to see an even bigger pack next year!
