Insane? Me? No!

If I may add some ideas:

The 666 challenge: Writing six pages a day in a month (no matter how shitty) because Stephen King writes 6 pages a day. Equating it with the devil is to explain why it's shit sometimes.

The 420 challenge: Get high. Write 420 words a day.

THE OTHER 51 challenge: Write 51 words a day because, yes, Hamilton wrote 51 essays in six months, but that bitch was crazy, and you can write 51 words without feeling like you're running out of time.

The Fibonacci challenge: Try to write as many words a day as required to meet the Fibonacci sequence. So, 100 on day one. 200 on day two. 300 on day three. Etcetera. If you don't hit the number in the sequence, you can respond "DO I LOOK LIKE A MATHIMATICIAN TO YOU"

I am not uptight about privacy because I'm hiding something. I'm uptight about it because the people who dismiss my right to privacy are dangerous to you and me and our families, personally, all the time.

If you’re still desperately thirsty after having some water, you probably need electrolytes. There are many options - eat a pickle, have a gatorade (or whatever brand you prefer), add an electrolyte packet to your water, sprinkle salt on some watermelon, make a fun drink with coconut water.

“Can I ask you something?”

Kaidan shifts a little. The weight of Shepard’s leg has put his foot to sleep, and he braces himself for the inevitable pins and needles. They’re lying on the couch, Shepard with his back against Kaidan’s chest, discarded datapads wedged into the cushions around them. Two empty beers sit on the coffee table. They’ve both said something about getting up to get fresh ones, but Shepard hasn’t moved and Kaidan isn’t about to encourage him.  

“You’ve never had to ask if you can ask me a question before,” Kaidan tells him. The report he’s got in his hands has something to do with troop movements in Attican Beta. It’s important, but he hasn’t actually looked at it in the last twenty minutes.

“Before was…different.” Shepard finds his free hand and threads their fingers, squeezing as though looking for some kind of reassurance. Kaidan finally abandons the pretense of the datapad, dropping it to the floor, and drapes his arm across Shepard.

Shepard’s right, of course. Before was different. Before there was no this. No them. The feel of Shepard against him is still new, still surreal, but he marvels to think that of all the things it is, the one thing it isn’t is strange. In fact the two of them together like this feels like the most natural thing in the world.     

“Ok then…shoot.”

Shepard hesitates for a moment, something Kaidan hasn’t expected to discover about him. For all his surety in command, on the battlefield, here, when it’s just the two of them, Kaidan often gets the feeling Shepard is waiting for the other shoe to drop. As if he expects Kaidan to change his mind.

As if Kaidan would ever change his mind.

Shepard leverages himself up, scoots around so that he’s leaning against the back of the couch, head propped on one elbow, looking Kaidan in the eye. His other hand lays flat against Kaidan’s chest, fingers tracing eddies into the fabric of his uniform.

“When did you know? About me.”

Kaidan draws in a breath. The answer to that is something he’s held close to the vest for three years.

Creators do not owe anyone content. Do not ask writers when they will update.

If an author did not ask for criticism , do not give criticism.

Read the tags carefully before reading a fanfic.

If you ignored the tags and were upset, that is your responsibility, not the creator’s.

Disliking a ship does NOT give you the right to attack people who enjoy it.

Do not tell authors or shippers that their ship is “disgusting,” “wrong,” or “shouldn’t exist.” Shipping fictional characters is not a moral failing.

No one is obligated to justify why they ship two fictional characters.

Headcanons are PERSONAL interpretations, not universal truth.

Dark themes in fiction do not equal real life beliefs or intentions.

Leaving kudos or short positive comments genuinely matters.

Not every fanwork is made for you, and that is okay.

Scrolling past content you dislike is better than engaging negatively

Enjoying a fandom later than others does not make someone less of a fan.
