I haven’t thought of Augustus in ages, but I’m guessing he becomes more aware of Lucy Gray as a concept when he’s around 8-9, and he’s not like formally brought around her until like 12-14 as this really angst teenager who’s giving his dad shit for cheating on his mom.

As to whether he warms up to her… a bit reluctantly, but I do have it in my mind that he’s a big momma’s boy in a lot of ways, so his inherent loyalty to her prevents him from fully embracing Lucy Gray. I think he’s a bit intimidated by her - this one thing his dad loves that isn’t his own flesh and blood. He almost wants to be like like what was your secret please tell me

As to Coriolanus and Lucy Gray, I’m thinking there are rumours but they don’t officially “come out” until like 10 years after his divorce from Livia. When the gossip/tabloids aren’t as overly interested as they would be if they were younger

I do giggle thinking of the inevitable scandal that arises when some Lucy Gray/the covey superfan posts this massive PowerPoint (à la Jack Antonoff and Lorde style) about the snowbaird being obsessed with each other for decades conspiracy and it absolutely goes viral
