Nekomaru Nidai: Brother died twice in 1 game, lets give him a third! Idk the strong guys never survive in danganronpa, so unfortunately that puts Nekomaru in a bad spot already. He would definitely be strong enough to kill someone easily. We also see in chapter 4 when Gundham challenged him, he was fulling willing to fight to the death, so he could be a potential culprit.

Gundham Tanaka: Oh how I would love if he lived! I love Gundham so much,, but idk i feel like he might be too much to be a survivor 🥲 like he's too eccentric that it will be a detriment in later trials. I will say tho, he is smart. His plan in chapter 4 was very complex, so there's no doubting that he has the smarts to be helpful in trials, but thats the thing, he's not. He doesnt help all too much in trials. While I dont want him to die, I feel like he's leaning towards being a victim more than being a survivor.

Nagito Komaeda: Honestly 50/50. He either kills someone or survives. If and when Chiaki dies (because it will happen), Hajime still needs his support characters, and yes we do have Imposter who could potentially play that role, we also benefit a lot from having someone so chaotic like Nagito alive. He doesnt care about politeness and will break into people's cottages for evidence. I will say that if Nagito dies, I might be later in game like in the original. Enough time for him to be helpful in trials, but he's too much of a problem to survive, that is if he finds out about the whole remnants thing again, which would be kinda redundant. Unless he's given a reason to want to kill everyone, he wont do so. We know he lied about wanting to kill someone in chapter 1, his entire plan revolved around getting Teruteru to do it. Other than that, he wants someone to kill him instead, so they'll have to give him a reason for him to want to become a culprit without it clashing with what we know of him.

Chiaki Nanami: Dead af. Girly is gonna get killed. 😔

Hiyoko Saionji: Yeah, I can easily imagine her being a survivor. One thing we see from Hiyoko is that despite her nastiness, she doesnt really condone murder at all. She was full on hating on Teruteru after his execution because he killed someone, so i dont think she would turn around and kill. She also has potential for a great arc like Fuyuhiko's, which was the original plan until the dr team swapped her with Fuyuhiko😭 Hiyoko is also a level headed person in trials. In trial one, despite the fact that none of her theories were exactly right, they were very sound in reasoning. She never got stuck on one piece of evidence and actually participated a lot. Seriously, she could be the new Fuyuhiko. i will say tho, she does have a slight murderous nature, if her treatment of animals is anything to go by.

Ibuki Mioda: Genuinely I do not know. I've already put so many people down as survivor or victim, that I have an almost empty culprit list 😭 but idk if Ibuki could pull it off. Ibuki is just not the smartest, she's far too in her own world and gets easily distracted. She's just too comic relief for her to pull off a murder that would be difficult to solve for players, or at least from what we see of her. She could survive, maybe take up Akane's role of being there but not the most useful in trials.

Imposter: If there's anyone I see surviving, its the Imposter. One thing that I see causing problems in this game is that Chiaki and Nagito might die early, but they are the biggest pillars of support during trials. Hajime isnt like Shuichi, he cant carry trials by himself, so if he losing his support characters, he'll need others to fill that role. Imposter seems the best equipped for that. From just the short while we had him, Imposter showed that he was smart and level headed. He would be a great replacement for Chiaki in trials should she die again (almost definitely 😭). That and he's a mysterious character i think many of us would like to learn more about. So yeah, he cares enough about everyone and would be able to hold his own in trials. HE BETTER FUCKING SURVIVE!

Teruteru Hanamura: Well, the perv characters dont have the best streak of surviving so I dont think dude is making it out 😬 but seriously, I think his eccentric nature (especially in the way it is) will be too much for him to survive. I really do think someone will kill him, but i dont really have much else on him.

Mahiru Koizumi: I feel like she could be a survivor. I cant really picture (🤭) Mahiru killing anyone, she runs a tight ship and i cant imagine her being the one to steer it off course. I also know that many people thing she'd be a good protagonist for a switch, but I believe she's too quick to make up her mind for that, and you basically have to force her to see a different point of view after that. I see her being more like Sonia, she's surviving, she's being helpful to a degree, but she's no Kyoko.

Part 1-

Hajime Hinata: I dont really see Hajime dying, despite a lot of talk about a protagonist switch. The thing is, that was a very good twist in v3, but now that its been done, I dont think they'll be able to pull it off with the same amount of shock. It would just feel like they'd be redoing what was already done, which yeah the do that, we see clearly with chapter 3 double murders, but protag switched were introduced in v3, seems weird to reuse it.

Sonia Nevermind: Sonia is just too kind to be a culprit, so I really do see her being a victim. Out of everyone in the group, yes even Chiaki, Sonia cared the most about everyone. You see as more and more people die, she gets more distraught in trials, so I have a hard time imagining her killing.

Akane Owari: I also see Akane being a victim, not for the same reason as Sonia, but because Akane has shown that she doesnt really like things to be complex. That makes it hard for me to think she'll kill someone then come up with interesting of complicated ways to evade suspicion. Most of the time, culprits are fairly smart, and Akane really isnt.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: Either or with victim or culprit. I dont think he'll get the same arc in this game since that would have to rehash the whole thing with Peko, which I dont see happening. He definitely seemed aggressive enough to kill, but solely because he wouldnt want to leave Peko to die, I see him more being a victim. His behavior would definitely give him enemies.

Kazuichi Souda: I can see him killing but idk if he will. Kazuichi is very rash and has obvious tunnel vision. And while he's also not the smartest in the survivor group, he's scolded Akane a couple times for being airheaded so he's definitely not on the same level as her. The only reason I wouldnt say that he's a for sure culprit is that he's so terrified of the killing game, more than pretty much anyone else. Like he panics and screams the second Monokuma appears. He doesnt want to be involved in any of this, so him involving himself by becoming a culprit is iffy to me.
