the fool is the readers/kim dokja and fitz is our protagonist/yoo joonghyuk. also, the fool saying goodbye after kissing fitz and leaving him in assassin’s quest is us the readers finishing and leaving the story, similar to orv's ending with kdj "leaving". that’s why the author never plan a sequel that time, cuz fitzloved is basically mc x reader story. the reason why the fool has a mysterious past and doesn’t have a clear backstory is bc us readers have all different backgrounds in life. that's also why the fool's age, name, and gender is ambigous, 'cause we're all different! we're basically y/n! that's also why they're pale and white asf, like a blank page! like the pages in a book beneath the words, they defy conventional norms cuz they're a part of a book, but still remain outside of it!

do you guys think that Nettle wants Fitz and Bee to Buckkeep isn't just to watch over Bee, but for Fitz and Nettle to finally bond too? he mentioned before about not doing right by her and promise to do things differently this time to Bee (which didn't happen obviously) but Nettle was probably giving him chance for that by inviting him at the castle but he kept declining instead
