Headed over to Fleet Feet Pepper Pike to lay down some miles with a bunch of great people.

It was chilly, but that didn’t stop us from going up and down the rolling hills of Pepper Pike.

I still need to decide if I’m going after a marathon or adding another half to the list.

I went out for two miles to try out my new Brooks PureFlow 7’s…they were so light, comfy and fast I just kept going. That was so quick I’m counting it as my Strava virtual 5K!

Run Streak Day 454

I’m usually a morning person when it comes to running, but I felt like sleeping in a bit today before getting the kids off to school.

Luckily I have a gym next to my office where I can change, run, shower and change again over the lunch hour so not to miss a beat at work.

Still dealing with the bumps and bruises from the trail runs in Phoenix so I went out slow and got negative splits by…

After four days in Phoenix running up and down hills it was good to get back home. I like trail running, but in the end pavement is my passion. I ran a steady 4 miles to kick off 2019.

2018 was a solid year of running and Strava did a great job of summing it all up…

Run Streak Day 416

I doubled up again today with a run and then a ride. It was a wet and windy 5K. It is going to get colder later today and snow is coming…time to break out the sub-zero clothing.

It was nice to get back out on the fat bike and hammer out some miles on the tank. I like how my heart rate goes up much quicker on the fat bike 🙂

Got my run and ride on today. After running in the hills of Tennessee for four days I’m happy to be back on flat ground. I was able to get it back into the 8’s for a solid 5K. The ride was spontaneous and I just felt like rolling through some miles. Windy going out, but nice coming back in.

Run Streak Day 414

Loki has been my running partner for the past two days. We’ve covered over 6 miles and gained over 900 feet of elevation while keeping a steady pace around 9:39 per mile. These were his first two “official” runs, but he clearly gets a lot of running in just like all huskies do.

It was a polka dot type of day with rain and hills.

Today is new kicks day! Got my second pair of Levitate 2’s and took them out for a spin. Pairing these up with Superfeet inserts and Pro Compression socks makes for a solid ride on the feet. I added in some speed today and nailed those negative splits along with a last mile fast mile.

I laid in bed a bit longer this morning as I heard the rain hitting the roof. I thought it might stop and then I’d head out. I like running in the rain so it was more me savoring that I was about to flip 365 days of straight running.

People have been asking me if I’ll enjoy taking a day off after today. The answer is no…I’ve decided to keep going. Let’s see what I can push this streak to and when…

Got Percy and Jasper to run another 5K with me this morning. I never tried running with both dogs until yesterday. To my surprise they run very nicely together.

We did it a bit slower today…Jasper was able to keep up better with his speedy brother.

We clocked in at a 9:20 average for 3.16 miles.

I was already awake so I got up and put in the miles. Went out easy and kicked it up a few notches at the end.

Inching closer to 365 days straight and about to flip 1,000 miles for this calendar year.
