One of the hardest things to do in life is to step outside of your comfort zone, and take a chance. It’s definitely easier to be set in your ways, and do only what makes you comfortable. But life experiences are what shape you as you continue to learn and grow as a person. New experiences can inspire you to take paths that you never imagined, opening you up to a whole new world of possibilities. If you never take a chance, you can never get to somewhere new. Whether it be committing to a new training program, doing a challenge at the gym, sticking to tracking your diet, going to a social event, introducing yourself to someone new, trying a new food, or going for that interview for that job you convinced yourself you couldn't get. Doing anything that scares you is taking a risk. Big risks are also important for making real progress and being fulfilled. Following a seemingly impossible dream takes a lot of courage, and starting over to do it takes even more. But whether you get there or not, you will be glad that you put everything that you had into trying. That in itself is worth it. Why not give something everything youve got today. FFS week 4 complete. Really happy with my efforts this week. Specially learning and performing a front squat for the first time ever. At the half way mark for the challenge and looking forward to the next 4 weeks to come. 👊 Really lucky that somebody believed in me enough to make me enter the challenge. 💥30/10/15💥 week 3 of the Acceler 8 challenge - for fitter faster stronger 💪 this week i learnt to do a clean for the first time ever. Cant say it was a straight forward movement that i picked up just like that..maybe if i practiced yesterday today could have gone better..who knows. Glad that i never have to do that workout again ever! It was such a mentally challenging workout, specially the 20 calorie row followed by the 1min wall sit. The first two times i did this workout, i broke down both times during the wall sit. Today i didnt 😂 did the heaviest clean ive ever done yet today, but hurt my forearms in the first lot of 3, when i attempted the next 2 rounds i couldnt comit to the last rep...so i had to drop the weight down both times and do the 3 reps again. I was a bit cut i didnt get the heavier weight for all 3, but i tried and thats what counts 👊 than i was into the 20 calorie row and 1 min wallsit. Just before i finished my 3rd wallsit, i saw that nick noticed a cord had come out of the rower. He put it back in but jumped on the rower it didnt register any of my strokes. So i have to piss bolt from one end of the gym to the other, to jump on the rower and finish my wow. Smashed out another 2 rows and a wallsit. Kept it together right up untill the end, breaking down as i laid on the fall when it was all over. I was so happy it was done and we got to finish it, even with the rower stuffing up. I never ever want to do that workout again. thankyou @nickhogbinfitness for the motivation, support, encouragement and keeping it together even when the workout didnt go to plan.
