“I don’t think I’ll get him a card. He still won’t let me live down what I did to the last deck.” Rinoa giggles nervously. “I know he wouldn’t want to go to Esthar and I think he has a house out in Winhill he never stays in so neither of those places. He’d probably complain about how ‘loud’ Deling City is so not there.”

“.. Yeah, now that you mention it.” He’d forgotten about that too. In his defense, she does a lot to make Squall mad. Probably why they bang it out so much. Tension’s gotta go somewhere. “Space is quiet; maybe we can get him a trip back up there.”

“I was thinking of something that would fit on his desk but that’s a great idea! Wonder if he even knows what a vacation even is. Let’s do that! Where should we send him?”

“Squall’s birthday. 10 days. What do I get him?”

“There’s my favorite! Listen! I need your help!”

“Oh! That was that quiet guy with the Ruby Dragon! I haven’t seen him since so I guess he’s not making a scene? Well, sort of? I didn’t stay long.”

“What makes you think I got in trouble?” Rinoa faked a pout. “Nothing bad happened. Saw a familiar face but that was about it.”

Rinoa giggles and gives Zell a hug in return as well as a kiss on his cheek too. “Best answer!”

“You been staying outta trouble?” He asks, arm tucking around her shoulders and giving one more kiss to her temple. “Kick any ass?”

“Well, who’s this good-looking guy I see?”

Rinoa couldn’t help but laugh at Zell’s reaction to the joke. “Sorry! Sorry! I couldn’t help it! You had yourself open for it! I mean…” She blinked when she noticed the little description sounded familiar. “He can’t talk? I saw someone like that too! He was near a ruby dragon that talks!” (Better not let Zell know he attacked me over that.)
