I have sooo many thoughts about PDH Garroth and Zenix. Like I haven't watched PDH since it came out way back when and ik they don't interact in it AT ALL but oh my god I have so many thoughts about them. I added a cut bc I didn't want to be annoying but I have soooo many hcs
They'd meet through some school-run tutoring program, bc u know. Garroth is Zenix's mentor. It's not that Zenix is dumb, the content just doesn't come quickly/easily to him. It takes forever for him to grasp it, but once he has it down, he has it DOWN. He's just never really had the incentive to put the work in, so he is failing a class or two and gets put in mandatory tutoring, and he is PISSED. Wdym he has to stay after school and do even more work when he could be bumming around with his friends? On top of that, his tutor is Garroth freaking Ro'Maeve. Surprisingly enough, they make a good duo. Garroth can deal with Zenix's frustration and temper tantrums, and tutoring Zenix is the one time Garroth can really act freely. There's no one watching him there, and Zenix has no ties to any of Garroth's friends or family. He's also just one really entertaining kid. He says he hates school, but he will spend an hour working through a single math problem because he's too stubborn to give up.
Garroth also absolutely brings extra food/snacks to school to give to Zenix during tutoring bc he knows he doesn't get enough at home. Zenix has never once thanked him or acknowledged it, but he always eats them.
Garroth also totally drives Zenix to/from school in his fancy ass car and Zenix always hides his face after they park bc he cannot be caught hanging out with Garroth Ro'Maeve, it would ruin his reputation as a Shadow Knight. Zenix always gets aux, and despite he and Garroth having completely opposite tastes in music, Garroth never complains and tries to be like. Oh! This one is cool! when its literally just someone screaming into the mic for 7 minutes
after Garroth inevitably gets with Laurance, he starts driving him too. Zenix still gets shotgun though, and Laurance is like 'u gotta be kidding me. I'm literally ur boyfriend why am I in the backseat while this little emo kid gets shotgun.' Garroth just shrugs and is like, 'he was here first' and Zenix sticks his tongue out
