“Only a few more weeks, and even then the doctor said they can come out sooner.” Lyall said as she rubbed her stomach. She picked up a piece of bread with some jam on it and took a bite. Once she is done chewing, she went over and kissed the top of Essy’s head before looking at Lorcan. “You sure you don’t want to go into work today?” She asked him. She had a slight discomfort when she woke up, but the doctor said it was normal and that there was nothing to worry about. “I really don’t think they are going to just pop out.” She laughed softly.

The rare sun peaked through some of the clouds as Iris laid down on a sun bathing chair. It felt rare to even get a tan going from how gloomy the weather could be. But that didn’t stop her from wearing her bikini and attempting to get some sort of color. She had just gotten out a bit ago from swimming in the pool. Just the need to stretch her tail, so to speak. She had her eyes closed, but even then, she could sense him. “Are you home for the rest of the day? Or just for lunch?” She asked as she finally opened her eyes and turned her head to the door of the house where she knew he was standing. A small smirk placed on her lips.

Martha clasped her hands together excitedly. “Oh! That would be marvelous. Should we go outside and try it? We’re sure to get wet, but if it works it’ll only be for a little while.” She reached for Anastasia’s hand, tugging her toward the door.

Anastasia laughed softly at her familiar’s eagerness for the rain to go away. “Wait!” She laughed a bit. “I’m in need of a book.” She was going to go get said book, but decided to snap her fingers to allow it to appear. “Perfect.” She grabbed Martha’s hand and guided them outside. The rain coming down didn’t bother her. She found a spot, and looked up at the sky the best she could. “Can you find the page on the weather.” She asked as she handed Martha the book.

Cade reached for the door handle of his home, pushing it open it even as he continued to kiss her. Wrapping his arm around her, he guided her to the side and then in through the door, kicking it shut behind him.

Anastasia smiled against his lips as she was guided through the door and into the house. 

Lizzie gave a shrug.  “I mean, why should I care what other people want?”  Eh, a little dangerous didn’t bother her.  Unless it backfired…maybe she had to do some more research just in case.

“So you wouldn’t care if someone you cared about got hurt from someone being careless?” Stasia raised her eyebrows before shrugging. “Clearly, in the end you want to do your thing, go for it. Just putting my unasked two cents out there.”

“Oh. Well, I suppose if you put it like that, it’s not so bad,” Martha said, glancing out the window before turning toward her witch with a small grin. “Still, it’s much more fun when it’s sunny outside and we can bask in its warmth and let it fill us with energy. And the nap afterwards is always so divine.” She hopped to her feet. “But I don’t want to bring you down with my moping. We should take this opportunity to practice! Maybe you can make it stop raining, just over the house, or would that be too big of a spell to start with?”

She was glad to see the other get a smile on their face. She, too, loved the sun, but she tried to appreciate the rain as well. “You’re not bringing me down.” She commented before she nodded. “That sounds like a good idea.” She thought for a moment. “I’m not sure if I can stop the rain fully, but I can try to make us a little bubble to clear the rain around us.”

Cade kissed her back, pausing before kissing her again, deeper this time. He placed his hand on her hip, pushing her gently up against the wall. It was rare for him to feel like this, and he wanted to chase the feeling while he could, with Anastasia.

Moments she loved were where they were just in their element together. When he kissed her again, deeper, she gladly returned the kiss. Her hand placed on his cheek as she felt her back against the wall. She continued to kiss him as she took her free hand to pull him a little closer by his shirt.

He gave a small smile.  “Not sure if I even meant to come here.  But it looks like I’m too late to go in.  Maybe I’ll try tomorrow, see if that helps.”  The familiar held out his hand.  “Nathan Jin.  Sorry again for scaring you.”

“The animals are always fun.” She smiled brightly. Hannah shook his hand. “Hannah Bachmann, and don’t worry.” She laughed softly. “So what’s on your mind?”

James sighed.  Even though he’d practiced this all in his head he wasn’t sure how to really bring things up.  “Have uh….has Christian told you about how I fucked up?”  Well, that was as good a start as any.

Lyall stopped smiling because it seemed like James was going through something. “Fucked up?” She questioned before shaking her head. “Christian has not told me about any instances. What happened? Are you okay?”

Lorcan squeezed her hand in return and smiled, this was the happiest he’s felt in a very long time. “Hm? No, I’d rather it be a surprise. We’re… traditional shall we say?” He chuckled a bit then leaned down to kiss her softly. “I love you.”

It was just the light she saw in him. They both wanted this for so many years and it was finally something they can have. And they were blessed with twins. “I love you too.” She kissed him back. The doctor smiled before finishing up the testing and cleaning up. “I’ll let you do get ready.” They said as they left the room. Lyall pulled her shirt down and smiled bright. “Twins.” She kissed Lorcan again. “We need more space.”

“If there was a way to undo it, I would. I never would’ve done this if we were together at the time. I was miserable and stuck in a rut.” He slumped his shoulders some. He didn’t like that he had scared or upset her with this. “I love you too and want a future with you as well. We’ll be okay, we’ll figure something out if that time comes.” Elijah tried to make it a bit more positive. 

Iris didn’t want him to feel bad for choosing this life. She would do the same, and she did ultimately want him happy. She took hold of his face in her hands and smiled. “If I could live forever with you, I would...without a doubt. We will take it a day at a time.” She kissed him softly. “I don’t want you to regret getting this chance to live forever.”

At the word interesting, Lorcan also looked at the doctor, raising an eyebrow, that wasn’t exactly what you wanted to hear about your unborn child….children? “Twins?” he asked, mouth slightly agape and looked at the screen again. There it was, clear as day, two babies moving about on the screen. He knew that it could be a possibility but hadn’t want to build his wife’s hopes up until they were sure. This was their first and only real chance of having their own.

The doctor nodded. “Twins.” They smiled at the couple. Lyall was in shock. “Wow.” It made sense, she was a twin herself, but she didn’t know she could be blessed this much. She couldn’t take her eyes off the screen. Lyall just squeezed Lorcan’s hand lightly. “Did you want to know the sex of the babies?” Lyall looked at Lorcan. “I’m happy for a surprise, but do you want to know?”

Lorcan kept hold of his wifes hand when the doctor came in and did what they needed to do, he watched the screen then glanced back at her, giving the side of her head a kiss. “So… how’s things?” He asked the doctor, not really sure of what happens next. None of this was a thing back when they were human, it was a wait and see type of thing but they knew that she needed a check up closer to the time.

Many would think Lorcan, being King of Vampires, was very tough, and though he was, he was always so sweet to Lyall. She smiled when he kissed the side of her head as her eyes looked at the screen. It definitely was hard to tell what was going on. “Hm interesting.” The doctor said softly. Lyall raised her eyebrow. “What’s interesting?” Her head turned to Lorcan before going back to the doctor. “Is something wrong?” She asked. The doctor realizing the panic they made, shook their head. “My apologies. I just don’t know why we didn’t notice this before. There are two heartbeats.” The doctor moved to show them. “Two? As in like...two babies?”

“Of course.” Lorcan had been trying his best to make her as comfortable as possible through this. “I will take care of the baby when you need to shift.” he took her hand and kissed it, glancing up when her doctor came in. “Everything’s going to be fine.” he whispered to her.

“Glad you are up for the job.” She joked softly. When he whispered, she smiled brightly at him. “I know...I have you.” She whispered back before putting her attention back to the doctor. They started to go through basic questions before asking her to lift her shirt so they could do an ultra sound. Her hand taking hold of Lorcan’s out of habit. The doctor placed the gel on her stomach before grabbing the wand and moving it around her stomach. “The anticipation is kind of killing me.” She laughed softly.
