Back from the dead

I’ve been in the mood for some writing lately and finally gave in to my own guilty pleasures to write this drabble of my OCs. Haven’t written for SW in a while, so I might be rusty with some terms, ranks and facts. English is not my first language (sup, I’m German)

summary: a rescue mission reunites a Padawan and her closest friend and most trusted trooper, but their feelings for the other seem to have changed since last time they had seen each other

Amber eyes flashed anxiously at the chrono on the console of the bridge aboard the Venator classified star destroyer Curiosity. Just over two standard hours ago their attack on the Separatist blockade around the planet Felucia had begun. 

Two other star destroyers of the same class as the Curiosity, flag ship of the 275th battalion, the Discovery and Pathfinder, as well as a dozen Pelta class frigates and squadrons of star fighters had arrived in the Felucia system to break down the blockade around the planet of the same name. 

Two planetary rotations earlier, a call for help had been received from the republic Felucia outpost in the Galactic Senate. The 306th Legion stationed on the neutral planet was surrounded and overrun by the Separatists after their location had been leaked by an unnamed source. The blockade around the planet prevented the transport of wounded to the safely distanced medcenters and much needed ammunition and food to supply the troops. Communication with the base was cut off shortly after the call for help and the Senate ruled out evacuation and accepted takeover of Felucia by the Separatists initially. 

This decision changed within seconds however when several senators noted that the valuable Nysillin was planted on the planet by the local Felucians. It was a plant that was essential for the production of medicine for the republic troops. The Senate declared the destruction of the blockade as the main goal to establish trade with Felucia. The rescue and evacuation of the weakened clone troops was a decided secondary matter for the Galactic Senate.

The crowd cheering after the first stanza when they realize what they’re all doing

The sheer number of voices joining the rediculous falsetto (thanks, Roger)

How they all start jumping at the ramp-up “so you think you can stomp me”
