We never really delve into the tattoo AU were everyone had a tattoo on them reference the organization they worked for.
People can have multiple tattoos (mostly A-major because they are weird.)
People need to find that job for them, it doesn't automatically show up when you join one. You need to find you special one.

The point above does not apply with A-major because again they are weird.
They look like a fresh tattoo all the time, unless you are in lots of sunshine then it will fade a bit.
People usually see them for the first time after sleeping after working their for at least a week. People who said they have watched the process say they have seen them fade in on another person body.
The ink for the tattoos is an unknown material and strange tattoo ink that seems to be replicatable to make more.
Tattoos grow larger the more involved you because with the company.

A good majority of tattoos for the Foundation are grayscale but some have color for various reasons.
My main story with it is currently the What Where Why When? Of each staff member for their tattoos. I've got Clef the most done just need to draw his tat. But others not too much.
After that I can come up with a story line for this AU to play out for fun.
Not going to lie I totally forgot what this joke au is about other than something on the lines of 'mlp cutiemark/soulmate mark but with scp and its corporate'
